Winter vacation
My family takes a yearly vacation up in this area for snowmobiling and ice fishing. We usually stay at a different VRBO but we opted to try this place this year because it was a better price and a larger house. I contacted the host a day before arrival to see if we would be able to get in any sooner than 4PM since we were traveling quite a distance and wanted to time our arrival correctly. I was told that any sooner that 3PM would incur a half day charge. We arrived at 3:30. I notified the host of our arrival but they took over a half hour to get back to us so we could not get into the cabin until after 4 anyway. Because all the kids had to use the bathroom and were thirsty, we ended up having to leave and go to town to get stuff to drink and use the bathroom while we waited for them to send us a code to get in. I thought that was rather inconvenient and rude. Especially knowing we were coming and check in was at 4 anyway. Aside from that, the house was very clean. Nice location. We likely will go back to our other VRBO as they were more accommodating to earlier arrivals which is so nice when you travel such a distance with large groups and kids.

Hi Jessica, sorry you were confused about check in we send the codes when you book it states its the last 4 digits of your cell number with VRBO so I'm not sure how you confused that. About early check in we always do the best we can but sometimes when a previous guest is there we it does take us awhile to clean since the house is so large and we wash everything so that does take a bit of time. Thank you for staying with us.

Great Family Lake Week!
We had a great time We were impressed with all of the little things that had been done to make our stay smooth, and the property is incredibly impressive. We enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks, paddle boat, yard games, and plenty of time on the water in the sun of Lake Belle Taine. Mary was a very good and fast communicator!

Family gathering
We had 13 of us stay for 6 nights. It was amazing!! Kids and adults had the most fun with the yard games, kayaks, water boards. It was sandy beach and then weedy- but the weeds were not tall ones and. did not stop anyone from swimming. Water is crystal clear! We all went out past the dock and we’re swimming The house was amazing and with 3 floors and 3 bathrooms-it was perfect for my family’s.

Beautiful lake home
We had a wonderful family vacation - 7 adults and two kids. The house is very roomy with multiple decks and family rooms. The kitchen is well stocked with high quality dishes and cookware. Was really nice to have a second refrigerator downstairs for beverages. Air conditioning worked great. Wi-Fi worked great. The swimming beach was awesome and we all loved the kayaks and standup paddle boards. Large yard with shade trees. Great location close to Park Rapids and Nevis. The Heartland trail is only one mile away and is great for biking and walking.

We were very impressed with the coziness of the house and how welcoming it was upon our arrival. The owner was very communicative and informative. Great place to stay!

Snowmobiling Weekend
Found this house for a snowmobiling get away. We had 8 adults in our group. It was just right for our needs. Beds were comfy! I imagine it was an oversight, but the main level bedrooms only had decorative pillows on the beds, no regular pillows. Trail was easy to get to across the lake. Mary was very accommodating as we had a couple of hiccups come up in our schedule and we had to cancel a night. We would definitely stay here again in the future!
