Best Western Golden Spike Inn & Suites

"Three nights here put us in a perfect position for several sites and experiences we planned to enjoy….Custer Stat Park, 25-55 minutes away, depending on which section of the park you were going to… Mount Rushmore is 12 miles away…if you’re planning cycling —Mickelson Trail (GORGEOUS!) goes right through Hill City very close to hotel! We hiked and biked and the indoor pool was SO nice for relaxing after beating our bodies up! Three visits and only one other couple in there once—our own personal water retreat!! A large, cool water, clean refreshing pool and STEAMY HOT spa for sore muscles! Outdoor pool was closed for season but it’s another amenity! The downtown with cute shops and restaurants is walking distance away—and a train museum which we did not visit. Breakfast area large and clean—but —repetitive in their food offerings and not the best ‘included’ breakfast we’ve had."

"It is near everything so was a great location ,was comfy , rooms were clean, hot tub was nice along with a indoor pool. Breakfast was nice while we were there. I would recommend staying there."

"Everything was great but they do close the pools down early which was a bummer. I also thought the food was rather expensive for the quality. It wasn't like a 5 star dining experience. It's a pizza & burger joint"

"Very nice cabins located close to Mt Rushmore. Five minutes from Keystone and not as crowded. Good clean water, nice sized room, and comfy bed. Coffee, TV, microwave and small refrigerator. New style split AC units kept us very comfortable. Quiet and lovely area in the woods."

"We had a great stay here as our base of operations for exploring the Black Hills area. The suite was very comfortable. The staff was very nice, and the coffee was great. Our only complaints would be the bed was a bit soft, and it would be nice to have a smart TV so we could watch our streaming services."

"Our family of three stayed Monday through Friday and we have zero bad things to say about the property or the staff! The rooms were fantastic and super clean, front desk grabbed us extras of anything we needed and the breakfast staff was amazing! Keith and Jane seriously went above and beyond with keeping everything cleaned, stocked and fresh. The two definitely made our stay top tier."

"We chose this hotel for our four night Rapid City stay. The location to Highway 90 and the positive reviews made this a great choice for us. The hotel was clean and quiet, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Brian, the breakfast supervisor, was on his game keeping everything hot and full daily…Nice guy, too! Overall, this was the perfect hub for our daily sight seeing trips. We would recommend this hotel."
