Girls biking

Six women stayed here to cycle the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounds. Waller Lodge could not have been more perfect. Beautifully redone, clean, great layout, good sleeping spaces and a porch with a view to die for. This will be an annual visit. Thank you Jamie!

Wedding stay

We were only in Wintergreen for the weekend for my nephews wedding, wish we had more time to enjoy the mountain! The house was very cute and perfect for my family of 5. The house was very clean and the view was breathtaking! The house had everything we needed and the host was quick to respond to all of my questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful location and view of the sunrise!

Great location with a wonderful view. The house was nicely clean and the bedding was good quality. The property needs a dual zone control system for the heating. Upstairs was too warm and downstairs cold. The vent ducts are exposed, looks nice but very noisy. Windows need curtains to sleep in and to help against the cold - it was chilly to sleep by the window on the second floor bedroom.

The house was perfect for our stay, the rooms were impeccable and cute. Within driving distance to some great hikes. Jamie was very responsive flexible and kind. Highly recommend.

Perfect Wintergeen restreat

The view from the house is special - we loved hearing the sounds of crickets and birds in the evenings and watching sunrise. The house was comfortable and practical - appreciated having lots of hooks to hang towels and bags, The kids room with 4 beds and a sofa was perfect for our gang. We had a great stay. And owner was very responsive and easy to work with.

Can't wait to visit again

This cabin was so cute! I loved that it was not at the top of the mountain for a shorter drive home. We always love visiting wintergreen and its even better when you can find a property such as this. I can imagine the view in the winter is wonderful when the trees are bare. Look forward to another visit soon!

Great House, Great View

Beautifully renovated home that was a perfect getaway for our family. Great mountain views for a morning coffee on the back porch, including countless butterflies and several hummingbirds, attracted by all the wild flowers on the hillside. Contrary to previous negative reviews, the house was very well stocked with everything that we could have needed.

Could have used some extras in the kitchen. Outdoor Chairs need updated, they were broken. Overall it was very nice and Cozy. The location & scenery were very nice as well. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Wonderful House!

We had a great time at this house! The house was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with pans, utensils, etc. so that we could cook dinner there both nights. The view is absolutely beautiful. It was perfect for 2 families and the kids loved the bunk room! Jamie was great to work with and was quick to respond to my messages. It is conveniently located by the ski slopes so it was easy for us to ski for the day. We are already discussing staying here again next year!

Beautiful view!

The view from this house can’t be beat — and the sunrises are the best we’ve ever seen!! House is comfy and decorated really cute! Our only complaint is that there wasn’t any place to put our clothes in the master bedroom (closet is locked for owner) and the armoire is full of towels and sheets. We loved the plentiful supply of fire wood and cozy blankets! The owner was super responsive!

Cute cottage

We enjoyed the house. The only two things to note are that, though the house can sleep 10, 8 of the people would have to share 1 bathroom. Also, the house is very small, and could not accommodate our family gathering of 13 people for dinner. Other than that, it was very comfortable for 5 adults staying there for the weekend.

Great house. A few things need to be updated: need washcloths, places to hang clothes or dressers; box springs in one of beds in twin room need replacing; no light bulbs in fixture above w/d; small step ladder by w/d to set drying settings as it’s high; adult size hangers; needs lamp In twin room; iron; full length mirror; small trash cans in each bedroom; We very much enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this house. Baths have been nicely renovated. Beautiful view off deck. Easy coded entry

Dream view of the mountain

This place is an easy 5 star. The location is great, the view on the balcony is absolutely wonderful. We booked it last minute but Gosh was it worth it. It is big enough to accommodate up to 10 people, but still keep everyone nice and close. Though it would be fantastic if the owner added a baby crib for infants. Bring soap, toothpaste and a lotion, you pretty much won't need anything else, the place is very well equiped. It is on top of the mountain so the light attracts lots of little bugs at night during summer. But other than that this is a great getaway. The owner is super nice and available when you need her. No complaints. We had a wonderful time there. My review? 5 star, easy!

Cozy cabin with beautiful mountain views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your home last weekend. We came up with another couple to celebrate an anniversary and birthday. You have done an amazing job with the décor in the home. Fantastic details without overdoing it. I am in the home furnishings industry and I was impressed with what you have done. That is always a pleasant surprise. We will definitely recommend the Waller Lodge to all our friends and family and now that we found that you didn't have to go up Skyline Drive (my husband was not loving the no guardrails) to get there, we will be back!! Here are some take-aways for you that could make it even better for the next guests.... 1) The Welcome sign out front is super cute but with the 20 mph winds we experienced Saturday night it knocked up against the wall. Something you'd never think of unless the wind was whipping. Just a couple of screws to secure the bottom of it would do the trick. 2) Measuring cups and spoons would be helpful. The guys managed breakfast so it wasn't a big deal but they were only making pancakes. If you actually need to have an accurate measurement it could have been a challenge.

Nicely decorated and good location but didn’t work well for our family

The cabin is tastefully decorated and very cute. Nice bedrooms and bathrooms and linens. I loved the decor. However, the main living space is much, much smaller than it appears online, is somewhat cluttered, and was not a good fit for our toddler and preschooler who kept banging their heads on the sharp corners of the kitchen counters, coffee tables, etc. It could have been cleaner — underneath the main rug there was tons of dirt as if it had never been swept and the cleaner hadn’t bother to refill the soap or any paper products (although the owners kindly brought over refills of these things very quickly). The WiFi was not really operational while we were there. The owners responded to our concerns quickly but it was far too slow for us to work remotely and was out completely for about 20 hours. The dryer was difficult to use because you couldn’t read the settings. The resort pool wasn’t accessible to us due to the owners not being members and a new Covid policy to limit numbers, which we were not told until the day before check-in. This is not the owners fault ofcourse, but the communication could have been much better so we could adjusted our expectations.
