"We only stayed for one night. My overall impression is a comfortable and mostly well kept facility. The staff on the reception desk were brilliant on arrival. They were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. This extended to the staff the following morning at breakfast. From being greeted at the entrance, placing a special order for vegetarian meal, to seeking assistance. There was always someone available and ready to help. There was a vast selection to choose from of hot, cold and continental options and grab bags if you were in a hurry or just needed a goody bag for later. On the whole the facilty is well kept and maintained, however my room was missing a light bulb in one of the bedside lamps and a cob web hanging from the ceiling over the bed. The view from the window was of the roof top and when it rained in the morning we got a gush of rain splashing on the window from the gutter. The tissue holder in the bathroom had not been refilled. The lift to breakfast was faulty but we were readily met by an engineer already onsite. The coffee machine in the main dining area was out of order and you had to use the one in a side room. Despite these fixable inconveniences we had a good night sleep in comfortable beds and a lovely shower. The check out process was quick and plesant with friendly and helpful staff all round."

"Had a really nice night’s stay with a 3 course meal each at the hotel’s restaurant and we got an upgrade to a balcony room for £15. Friendly staff and lovely luxury hotel with luxury amenities in the room too. Only improvement could be better air conditioning as the room was still quite hot even with fan unit and ceiling fan"

"Good welcome and pleasantly surprised by the decor and overall appearance. Room was spacious, clean and had air con. Result! Restaurant had a good choice and the food was great. Top breakfast. Will definitely stay again."

"We had a very last minute booking, but the staff were very attentive and accommodating. The room was good and spacious, located in the annex, it did not have bath, but we were OK with the shower. The food is good, the breakfast was lovely, however continental part has no porridge and no cheese/charcuterie, just corn and other flakes and bread and jam and some small pastries. Beautiful location, building, good and comfy beds and good service"
