"Lovely property that has been tastefully renovated over the past years. The gardens are beautiful and a lovely place to be on a sunny day. The hotel is small which gives it a very comfortable feel.
Service is a little haphazard. Lot of young staff that don’t have the experience to deliver the service you would associated with such a lovely traditional hotel. "
"Beautiful boutique hotel with a lovely atmosphere and wonderful staff. The hotel was just as described and didn’t disappoint. Lovely and quiet room and very comfortable beds. The restaurant is beautiful and very popular with locals so book ahead . "
"Old English Pub and Inn, clean and well kept. The food was great and the rooms clean. We stayed the week and found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. Just what you'd imagine a village Pub should be! So happy to have found The Swan, we'll be back to stay again! "

10/10 Excellent
"We had such a specia stay for our anniversary. We enjoyed the pool, spa (both had lovely treatments) and bike hire. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the hotel had a grand, traditional feel. "
"After a long drive down from Co Durham we were welcomed warmly by Dee with tea and cake.My husband doesnt drink tea or coffee so was offered elderflower cordial which he said was the best he's ever had, it may well have spoiled him for any other now. We had a lovely chat with Dee about gardens, local places to visit etc and then shown to our room. We had the en suite double overlooking the garden. The bed was extremely comfortable. There was ample storage. The shower was excellent, the bathroom was very up to date.
The breakfast the next and following days were spot on. Plenty of choice, all well cooked and more toast and tea was offered.
The wifi is good also
Behind the house is a vast garden. It doesnt look huge because of its thoughtful layout, but it just keeps going. The garden features in an open garden event in August and we were chuffed to get a look in before the crowds.
We are now trying to come up with reasons to re visit. We will be back.
Thank you Dee for a lovely stay."
"Lovely, quiet B&B on a farm. Location is remote, which made it a peaceful stay. There was plenty of parking available. The room was large and comfortable with a good bathroom and a strong wi-fi signal.
The owner recommended a local pub, which was a 10-minute drive away. The food and beer were excellent! Breakfast the next morning was superb. The host was very helpful throughout."
"The house was perfect for our gathering with plenty of room for 16 of us. The pool room, garden, kitchen and living room were perfect for us. Fully recommend this property "
