Everything about the Cottage is Quaint, decor is perfectly appointed. It’s is very close to town. Hosts are amazing and very accommodating , they respond within a few minutes if need be! The only shortcoming is there is not a comfy chair to sit in. Other than that 5 Star! I highly recommend .

Great location, really cute garage converted to a country cottage. Matching robins egg blue appliances. Comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water, and towels clean space. Safe. Cozy. Easy to Come and go using combination door. Drive way bumped bottom of car, No wifi signal, two kureg coffee pods, no sugar or cream for two people staying 3 nights, confusing directions for Alexa lamp, no bleach pods supplied to follow laundry directions, grass and bushes needed trimming especially near driveway.

Pleasant experience.
Thankfully my stay was pretty much seamless. Upon entering was just taken by how adorable the overall look was exactly as pictured in listing. I checked in later in the day so the ambiance with the lights & soft classic music playing the background was simply magical for me. It’s cute, quaint and beautifully done. Basically like a hotel stay since there’s no actual kitchenette but I was just fine with that being for the weekend & utilizing local fare.

Loved the cottage! The location is great - walking distance to so many things! As mentioned, parking is definitely tight. Seems like it would be an easy fix to remove the foliage and widen it a bit. Didn’t realize their was a main house rental, too. Our neighbors were very nice! Would definitely stay here again!

Disappointed. Small brush trees are so grown out , if you try to squeeze in the “hidden” driveway , it will scratch the paint on your vehicle. Cobwebs present, the mattress was lumpy, the bathroom had mold at bottom of shower. Only one wash cloth present . Air conditioner could not cool the little cottage - it was at best keeping it from just being outright hot. This might all be ok for a young college student looking for a cheaper place to stay I guess, but if you and your spouse are looking for a nice place near downtown Franklin, we would say keep looking and skip this one. It’s a quaint looking little place, but with all the issues, could never recommend anyone I know to stay at this VRBO.. Franklin is far too nice and a lot of fun to stay at a place that needs some investment and help

Lumpy bed? lol (the time you lost all credibility) I’m sorry we got off to the wrong foot about how to work the AC unit. As our repeat guests know, you have to follow the instructions exactly and it works perfectly and it cools completely. We wouldn’t be booked 95% of the month if all those things you’re saying were true. You got upset because I nicely asked you to follow the instructions for the AC unit. You complained to about how there was only 4 rolls of TP for a 2 night stay with 2 people, I offered to send more, you weren’t satisfied. Nothing seemed to satisfy you & we just couldn’t make you happy. I hope you have better luck at another air bnb. This one is for the cool people who appreciate this special place and are grateful it’s only $120/night in the heart of downtown Franklin, super clean, super comfy bed (read all the rest of the reviews) & decorated impeccably vintage!

You should take time to read this:
Well, the property itself is very cute, that is where the benefit of the stay ended. The parking is nonexistent so don’t drive anything bigger than a very small SUV, the owner will say how close it is to the residence because it’s basically an alley that you can barely get your car in. The outside looks nothing like the pictures, it is overgrown with mosquitoes and weeds. The air-conditioning did not work, and I had to leave because it was so hot in there. I took the owner more than four hours to reply to my request about air conditioning and when I finally gave up and stated, I would just report this, she told me she would have the AC company come out to give a statement of working order. Additionally, the Internet did not work, which wasn’t really a big deal, just another thing. The biggest problem is the communication with the owner. I am certain she will reply to this post, because she defends her wrong choices. At every turn. She is rude and disrespectful, she is underhanded and refuses to accept any wrongdoing and always blames everything that could possibly have gone wrong on the client. While other seem to have had a nice stay, that was not my experience. I would proceed with extreme caution— the owner is a horrible person and treats people like they are stupid and incapable of operating air conditioning and Internet reception. As a business owner myself, it is bad practice to consistently tell your client that they did not follow instructions. I did.

Disappointing
We felt like we had booked a cute little studio cottage within walking distance to historic downtown that represented the overall vibe of Franklin with an outside sitting area and nestled little cottage. This property has not been kept up at all. The “hidden” driveway is barely room for a compact SUV and is very overgrown that some simple yard grooming couldn’t fix. It was a chore to make sure our rental car didn’t get all scratched up by the overgrown bushes and trees each time we used the driveway. The fire pit area was a mess with all four chairs pretty dirty. There was overgrown greenery straight across the only door you use to access the cottage. I took pictures of all of this with video if anyone disagrees. Inside the cottage was cute and decorated with a vintage feel. There was absolutely nowhere for any clothes you might need to get out of the suitcase and hung up. No dresser and no closet. The curtains do not cover the windows at night in the kitchen and in the bathroom when you shower you have to hope you have the curtains angled right. I am only 5’5” and could see right out into the driveway while showering. The only nice thing was the location is definitely within walking distance everything else was a disappointment including the uncomfortable mattress. Pick somewhere else, we will next time we’re back in six months.

Linda, I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. It became very apparent to me that this was going to be the case when you asked for a discount multiple times and was never satisfied with the deals you were offered. I find it very disheartening you’d write an untruthful review based on not getting a better discount on nightly rate when a discount shouldn’t be expected as we are a small business & this is our livelihood & busy season. The chairs aren’t dirty, the house keeper wipes them after every visit…they are vintage chippy. The free parking spot fits my husbands ford 250 with ease. The “over grown” landscaping was due to the heavy rain we’ve gotten and it was cut & detailed the day after your arrival. These were all things that were explained to you upon your complaining. We accommodated your late check in , your constant calls on user error situations & treated you with generosity, care & respect. We are booked 95% of the month and they are all happy guests.

We really enjoyed Nanci's quaint cottage. It was a real perk being able to walk to downtown. The decor was very pleasing and comfortable. Perfect for two! Parking is tight as mentioned by other guests so we took our smallest vehicle and had no issues.

Franklin VRBO?
You know what they say about “initial impression”. When we pulled into the tiny parking area the bottom of our car scraped the driveway. We walked into a weed grown area in front of this converted garage. 13 of 14 bushes at the entrance were dead. The “lawn” was a bed of weeds. Bring some food for the mole running around the weeds. We actually thought we had the wrong place thinking this garage was abandoned. The “sitting area” in front is nothing like the picture. Dirty chairs and the area overgrown with weeds. Also mosquito infested. We made it inside. No dresser. The only place to hang clothes was the water heater closet. The bathroom door is a safety hazard. Don’t bother trying to contact the owner - excuses were “I live in the mountains and have bad reception” and “my baby is sick and I don’t want to wake her”. Never again. This place doesn’t represent the beautiful town of Franklin.

The cottage was perfect for one person. Walked to downtown and the surrounding neighborhood was quiet. The only negative was parking very small space and bushes scratched my SUV when I entered and left. If you had a small car probably no issues. Overall enjoyed my stay. 😌

I find it so disheartening when a guest leaves less than a deserving review because they don’t follow the rules and we have to professionally step in. This guest attempted to check in after 11pm without any notice and went to the wrong house and tried to enter with the code that was given for the proper rental that was clearly marked. They called us at 11:15 at night saying the code wasn’t correct and we trouble shooted with them for 20 minutes (all the while they were at the wrong door of our other rental next door that was occupied & disturbing the sleeping guests) We offered to FaceTime but they didn’t have that capability. I was about to send my husband over (while we live 20 minutes away & have a sleeping baby) and all this while they broke the rules of cHeck in time and we were still helping them, but this is precisely why hosts have these rules. We went above and beyond when we didn’t have to to try and get them checked in. They finally called after my husband was in the way over to say they went to the wrong house (which by the way looks nothing like the rental they booked). We were still gracious and they still gave us a 3 star review for their mishap. SMH.

This property was just as described. It was a perfect place for the two of us. The location was walking distance from downtown. My wife had a fit over how cute it was & was so excited that the owners left antique shop recommendations. I will say the only downside to the property was the parking was a little tight for our suv. With that being said, I would 100% recommend this property & book again.

Charming Studio
This charming cottage was walking distance to the even more charming downtown! My bestie and I were on our annual trip and loved this little place. We were within walking distance to the main street shops and restaurants. There was a great coffee shop very close and we had the best burgers downtown. It's less than a hour from Nashville and lots of other things to do. Definitely would stay again!!

Super cute cottage with perfect location!
My husband and I decided to stay two nights in Franklin for our baby moon. We loved bluebird cottage and easily walked to Main Street, frothy monkey and biscuit love. The lights outside and fire pit were also a nice bonus! Definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back someday!

We like to stay in something other than cookie cutter lodgings and this fit the bill. Very close and convenient to historic Franklin and within walking distance to the Carter House for your civil war history lesson. Parking spot is a challenge but that was noted in the description. We loved our stay at the Bluebird Cottage. The rental was decorated so well, and it had everything we needed. There is not a full-fledged kitchen, but it did have a fridge and coffee maker, which was all we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved the linens. The location was my favorite feature! Each morning, my husband could walk to the Frothy Monkey and grab us coffee. Everything was so accessible from the cabin. We loved that we could just walk to downtown Franklin. This was such a great stay, and I highly recommend.

Cute little cottage
Loved this historic little cottage in the heart of Franklin. We stayed 2 nights for a music festival. Upon arrival, the code we were provided did not work for the front door, but we contacted the host and the problem was remedied immediately. It's decorated beautifully with nice touches of history and local flavor. The kitchen in TINY and not super-functional, so don't expect to make gourmet meals here, but that didn't bother us. (Only other complaint - and I keep seeing this with more and more property rentals - is that they charge a cleaning fee yet ask you to do a lot of the work upon checkout... strip the bed, pull the towels, start a load of laundry, do the dishes ... Properties are going to need to stop this practice or people will start going back to hotels ... ) But all in all - would recommend this place!

The cottage was super cute and clean. We did have a hard time with the single parking spot. We drive a normal 1500 Silverado and had to carefully back into the spot inorder to fit. Overall, it was a nice experience and stay.

COVID Breakaway
This was without a doubt one of the best getaways. The host Nancy was very nice and the recommendations provide us with a fantastic experience of Franklin and the surrounding area. The cottage was extremely clean and perfect for the two of us. We literally walked everywhere and felt safe and secure even in the middle of the pandemic.

Great Get Away!
My spouse and I thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in Franklin and our stay at the Bluebird Cottage. It is exactly as described and in walking distance to downtown Franklin. Great shops and restaurants to choose from. There is plenty to do in the area as well. We toured a distillery and a historic home. Both did not disappoint. We highly recommend visiting Franklin, TN and staying at the Bluebird Cottage!
