If you're thinking about booking this place, just do it! Clean and comfy stay with a great location to shops and hiking trails. The downstairs units are a little dark if you arrive at night, make sure you have a light!

Had a fantastic time in Story. I guess we were expecting a cabin with cooking facilities. But, the food we had in Story was really good. Overall, we would recommend!
We had a wonderful time. It's secluded and quiet. We went shopping in Nashville, IN and hiked at Brown Co State Park. The cabin was very comfortable and clean and we would stay there again. 5 Stars
We were so pleased with our stay here. Our dog enjoyed her time here too, she was comfortable and right at home the whole 5 day visit.
We thought it was very nice that the host provided quite a few kcups, paper towels, toilet perfume and a roll of doggie waste bags that saved us from having to go to the grocery store for our first full day. That we found to be very thoughtful and generous ❤️ make sure to visit The Story Inn next door!!! We spent the whole day there as we made friends with the staff. Such great people
We enjoyed the location and used the fire pit. Two rooms share fire pit and grill so consider this when booking. Also can hear neighbors through walls or upstairs. Since none of the neighbors upstairs or downstairs sat outside we pretty much had evening outside by ourselves
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Story! The accommodations were very comfortable and the space was extremely clean! It would be difficult to stay very long without a kitchenette. I would know next time to bring a few dishes and silverware so it would be easier to have a light meal or snacks. The microwave and small refrigerator were perfect, but be sure to bring something to warm things up in. Overall, it was a beautiful place to spend a few days and enjoy getting away from the rush at home! Thank you for a lovely spot to land!
For the most part, our stay was great. We had some trouble with the code to the door when we arrived, but I was able to call the host and resolve the issue quickly. I thought the place was a bit closer to the main gates of Brown County State Park, but that’s my own misinterpretation. It’s close to the horse entrance, but that is not open to through traffic.
We had another group traveling with us that stayed next door. It was great to be able to have our own space, but also have a patio to share. There is also a door connecting both rooms that can remained locked if you wish.
Overall, we had a great stay. It was clean and peaceful.
The Lodge was very nice and clean. Didn't need for anything. Didn't use the grill or pit, too busy having fun doing other things inside. Thought that the snacks and games were an excellent choice. Space was adequate for 2-4 people. The travel was a little deeper than thought but was very nice pulling up to the Story Village. Loved seeing the horses and all the farm land coming and going. We have declared that we'd be back. Thank you
Enjoyable and peaceful. Only issue was the fire pit was out of gas so wasn't working. I think it would be easier for clients if had a closer area for trash disposal / dumpster. Nice cabin and scenery. It's a struggle when u have a baby with you. Friendly atmosphere in Nashville and beautiful area. I liked how the tv was already connected to netflix and hulu and YouTube and no inconvenience having to put all your own information in the system. The bed wasn't very comfortable but it's a nice place regardless free snacks and bug spray and dog leash if u need one. That's a great idea! Very relaxing stay!

Lazy Retreat
We stayed in the lower level suite which was clean and nicely decorated. Comfortable, quiet and easy to get too. A couple safety issues bothered us: tub extremely slippery and the outside light on the lower level did not work leaving it quite dark when going up and down the stairs. There were lights on the parking side though. Also, we arrived at 4 pm just when the Colts were going to start OT. The TV was only set up for “internet TV” and we couldn’t find the game. We called Cara and had to leave a message but did not get a return call. We called again Monday and she said she “had no idea where to find local channels” and suggested we just subscribe and then cancel in a day or so??? Not a helpful conversation. Lastly we had coffee cups and pods but no coffee maker. We did run into the cleaning crew who gave us one from another suite the following day.
Nice place, the property has 4 units and we had neighbors above us and we could hear them walking around and talking. You can’t cook on site, you have to drive and eat out. I was disappointed, not the quiet and secluded place I was hoping for.
This was exactly what my husband and I were looking for! A quiet stay in the middle of nowhere! I didn’t read enough details (totally my fault) so I didn’t realize there was only a mini fridge and microwave but we made it work! Very clean and well kept, and the other people that were staying were quiet and respectful. Highly recommend!
