Amongst the many amenities available in this lovely seaside resort, Nairn boasts a beautiful sandy beach where you perhaps could catch sight of the Moray Firth dolphins, two championship golf courses and another 40 courses within easy reach and many attractive shops, pubs and restaurants to name but a few. Sandy Beach makes the perfect base for exploring the Scottish Highlands – Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, Loch Ness and the Highland capital of Inverness are just a short drive. Visit the historic Cawdor and Brodie Castles or the ruins of Urquhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness. There is a wide selection of watersports and boat trips available along with many mountain bike trails, forest walks and, for the less energetic, perhaps fishing or birdwatching. So much to see and do for all ages. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sandy Beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sandy Beach. The house was very clean, warm and spacious. It had everything you needed and the beds were especially comfortable. Nearby were some lovely eateries and walks along the beach. The house is close to bus and train links and short drives to the Battlefield of Culloden (recommended) Loch Ness and Inverness. We even took time to take part in a quiz night at The Classroom, which we would recommend for food and drinks.

This very spacious house was an excellent base for our holiday.

This very spacious house was an excellent base for our holiday. The beds are really comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the showers are amazing. As an eco conscious family we were very impressed by the recycling provisions, although a note in the kitchen about where the glass bins are would be useful. There is enough space that our family of 5 adults didn't feel confined on the one wet day we had. Everyone was able to find their own space when needed. Nairn is a lovely town with loads of local shops and amenities. There is also a Sainsbury's superstore just down the road. My only gripe would be a wish for bath sheets instead of the skimpier bath towels. As a large person one was slightly inadequate.
