This was a great trip the property is lovely and prefect for quiet get away , the view from garden and private beach is just what we wanted. very good place will book again
The cottage is absolutely perfect! The private beach is a definite plus. The energy is incredible and I can't wait to go back. If you're looking for a secluded getaway, this is your jam.
We've really enjoyed our stay. Lovely cosy cottage with gorgeous views of the lochs. Highly recommend Cameron's tea rooms in Foyer and also the Lochness Alpaca walks just up the road.
We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It is in a very secluded area and we enjoyed the quiet. The views of the loch are breathtaking! We enjoyed watching the pheasant run thru the yard daily. The bed is comfortable and we were very happy here!
We loved our stay here! The cottage is spacious and very, very quiet. It is secluded so having a car and driving is a necessity. Having private access to the lakeshore was a bonus and we had a small fire the last night there as the weather cooperated.
Had a fabulous stay at the cottage...beautiful location, went far too quick and just wish had booked to stay longer ...didnt want to leave. Will definately be returning in the near future .
This was my second winter holiday at The Cottage, if you are looking for a quiet place with incredible views then this is perfect. Literally 10 minutes to Foyers Waterfalls, 20 minutes from Dores beach where you can get a great meal and then an extra 10 minutes takes you to Inverness where you can find plenty to do from bars to boat rides , history, castles etc.
Returned here because it is an ideal spot if you want stunning scenery, access to a rocky beach, private, cosy cottage and peace. We love the cottage because it is comfortable, warm and ideally placed away from the crowds, nut close to beautiful walks and local attractions. Will be returning.
The cottage was perfect for my partner and I as well as our dog. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and spent the days exploring the many forest walks locally. It is out of the way (30/40 mins to inverness) but that's why we chose it. The pebble beach is down a set of steps and has some fantastic views along the Loch.
All in all we had a fantastic time and all the locals we met were extremely friendly.
Beautiful cottage and fantastic views of the loch.
Beautiful walks and scenery within walking distance. The couch is a bit uncomfortable to sit on after a days hiking. Would definitely turn the dining room into a living room to relax in at night as the views from there are spectacular.
Please put a blind in the toilet .
This cabin is set in a beautiful spot right on the shores of Loch Ness! We used it as a point to explore the Cairngorms, Ben Nevis, and Fort William. Americans: we assumed barbecue grill meant an outdoor grill; please note that it is merely the grill function in the oven like a broiler. The stove and oven don’t have markings so are a fun challenge. Also note that towels are provided for a 5-pound added fee each. The four season room is terrific and we spent most of our time there when we were at the cabin!
Just returned from few nights stay at the Cottage, had great time chilling out away from any hustle & bustle.
Cottage was easy to find, don’t be put off by the directions / remoteness, look out for the post box and you can’t miss your turning.
Cottage layout felt bit odd as your straight into the lounge, so bit of a faff getting dirty boots etc off but once your inside all is fine. Kitchen is well equipped for basic cooking and meal preparation, although the hob took a bit of messing about to figure out, theres plenty of room in the dining room.
The beach was great to just get a fire going and switch off. Couple of great walks through the woods alongside the Loch, Foyers falls is only about 1hour walk away with cafe etc to visit, if you want to venture a bit further there’s plenty of other places to drive to, but most things are at least 30min away.
Loved our stay! Views are incredible- everything we needed for cooking meals was there. Water pressure in the shower was wonderful and it’s a gorgeous easy drive into Inverness for any adventure. Even had some wildlife visit- perfect wee cottage to enjoy quiet and nature!
Perfect cottage in a perfect location. Would highly recommend. Turan was easy to deal with and most helpful. The Cottage had absolutely everything we needed and more. Only sad that we live so far away (Australia) and not easily able to come back!
The Cottage is in a lovely spot overlooking the Loch and the views are amazing. The bedrooms were nicely sized. Note for anyone with any mobility issues, the stairs up to the bedroom are steep and very narrow. Some of the bed and bathroom linens and towels need updating. The peace and quiet was lovely!
