Surf Side Hotel
Unless you’re renting a beach house, this is the place to stay in the outer banks. We have stayed at several hotels in the area, and surfside is head and shoulders above the rest. Perfect staff, perfect setup, perfect location Ten out of ten.

On a positive note, we did have an oceanfront room on the 3rd floor and we did feel safe here. Our kitchenette was poorly stocked; no silverware, a small saucepan and 1 small frying pan with peeling non stick interior. The stove was filthy inside and out.
