"Shirl's Shores" is a 4 Bedroom, 2 bath classic beach bungalow, arranged with 2 bedrooms/1 bath on each side separated by a large open central living area. It is perfect for 1 or 2 families. SHIRL'S SHORES IS A 7 DAY, MINIMUM, SATURDAY TO SATURDAY ROTATION. Sleeps 8, with queen beds in 3 bedrooms and 2 twins in the 4th. This cottage has been owned by the same family since 1980 and has been enjoyed as a vacation site by many families and fishermen over the years. Previously, rented through a local agency, we manage it directly (retired and full time residents of Nags Head). We want you to enjoy a true beach experience. The location is ideal for beachcombers and nature lovers. (Milepost 21)-the southern side of S. Nags Head-close to the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. Considering the ideal location, the rates are truly value priced. In keeping with the goal of "economy pricing", linens are not standard. Guests would bring their own sheets (3 queens, 2 twins) & towels. Bedspreads, pillows, blankets, and mattress pads are provided. We can direct you to local linen services, should you need them.

Great Location!

Enjoyed our stay! Great house and location. Shirley and Becky (hosts) provided great recommendations of where to eat and shop. Will try to book again next time we are at the OBX.

Exactly as described

This was our first time in OBX and it did not disappoint. We loved the house, it was in a great location in nags head. The owners were easy to work with. I would highly recommend this stay.

The location of this house was perfect. It is a very short walk to the beach that is not crowded. The house was a nice size for my family and parents. We would stay here again. Had everything we needed.

This is our 2nd year staying at Shirl's Shores. 4 adults and our dogs were comfortable and pleased with the house. The owners understand the meaning of family time. Highly recommend Shirl's Shores.

Rainy vacation

Located in South Nags Head a short drive to the main strip. The house layout was great with bedrooms and bath on each side separated by the living area. A short walk to the beach it was the perfect location. Unfortunately the weather was not our friend but I recommend this beach house for a Nags Head getaway.

Family Vacation

I booked the stay to celebrate my 50th birthday with my 3 kids (20, 18, 15) & my son’s girlfriend (also 18). We had a wonderful time. The location was perfect and convenient for relaxing, shopping, site seeing, and being on the beach. The house was cozy, stocked with kitchen equipment, and the washer and dryer were in perfect condition.

Perfect!!

We stayed in the cottage for a week and it could not have been more perfect for us . The location is extremely convenient , away from all the hustle & bustle but just close enough if you needed to go anywhere for anything . Walking distance to the ocean which was great ! This place is beautiful and the neighborhood is clean and friendly ! These are some of the best hosts I’ve ever had ! Thank you for sharing your place with us ! We had an amazing time !

Wonderful stay!

I cannot say enough nice things about our stay at this home. The location is great! It was such an easy walk to the beach down a quiet little street, just 4 houses from the beach. The beach was not busy when we visited during prime season. We were also close enough to the protected seashore areas that we could explore away from all of the more crowded areas. Becky (the owner's daughter) was incredibly nice and very willing to help when we had a minor issue. The house was clean and well laid out. The outdoor shower was clean and so nice to have. Our party was all family (3 couples and a child under 5) and we had plenty of room for everyone to hangout and even eat at the same table. Thank you Becky (and Shirley) for a wonderful week! We are excited to come back in years to come.

We had a great week! The house was perfect and consistent with pictures and description in the listing. Well equipped kitchen with lots of seating at the island. We got plenty of use and appreciated the outdoor shower. Easy walk to and from the beach. Becky was friendly and met with us at check in. Appreciate the personal touch, especially compared to the rental companies!

Another Great Stay!

Perfect cottage close to the beach!

We enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing vacation here and would definitely return! The house had plenty of space for our family of four and our little dog. Loved the porches on both the front and back of the house. Perfect proximity to the beach.
