Family Getaway

The good…this house is well designed for a family gathering or multiple families. There are living areas on all 3 floors, which is nice for spreading out. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Excellent location. Right across from Jockey’s Ridge. Close to grocery stores and restaurants. The beds are very comfortable. The negative…this house is in need of maintenance. The kitchen faucet constantly dripped, paint was peeling, the dishwashers are on their last legs, one of the closet shelves had fallen out of the wall, the carpeting was stained, the furniture was worn, the couch had springs sticking up, and the hardwood floors were scratched and worn. If the house was better maintained it would be perfect.

August 2018 Stay

House is nice but...kitchen is understocked. Needs a lot of things too numerous to mention. The outside leaves a lot to be desired. The owners have not paid much attention to it and it’s obvious. I’m surprised that village realty has allowed this house to be rented under these circumstances. The entire outside needs a paint job, including the railings. There are rust stains everywhere. The gate that leads to the beach is off its hinges and just laying there. I used to be an owner in the village and at that time the standards required by VR were much higher. I would not rent this house again. The money paid for this rental was high and I should have gotten what I expected.

This is a wonderful house in a great location. Near lots of activities but not too many people on the beach. Extra large dining table. Good ocean views.
