"This was the best ryokan we stayed at in Japan. The staff was wonderful, the setting is magical, the Onsen was perfect. The food was also fantastic and served with caring and hospitality. We couldn’t find this place in any guidebook but people who discover it won’t be disappointed! We plan to come back!"

"Wing International Izumi is a simple Japanese-style hotel directly across a small plaza from the Izumi train station. The rooms are simple, but larger than most Japanese hotel rooms, and the breakfast is excellent. There is a good restaurant on the premises. My wife and I stayed here when visiting the famous Crane Observatory in the outskirts of Izumi. Our only complaint is that the rooms are only cleaned every third day, but that is getting to be a common practice now."
