The Haden Edwards House is walking distance to down town, restaurants, the Fredonia Brewery, and family fun like parks and a waterpark! This beautiful historic home boasts 4 bedrooms with a private bath in each room, a shared half bath, and a shared kitchenette, living, and dining room.

There are two huge porches to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon tea on.

This house is a huge part of Nacogdoches history. Named after Haden Edwards himself, a Fredonia Rebellion leader, the house features high ceilings, two wrap around porches, 4 guest rooms named with historical influence and was built in the 1860s.

There is a living and dining area that is community space that features a Netflix account, fun games for families, and a cozy place to hang out. The house also has a kitchenette and laundry room that is accessible to guest

The house was very charming and clean. plenty of common areas and the grounds were well maintained. we did attempt to contact the property manager to see about getting an extra blanket but never got a response.

Unusual. I needed to add an extra day but even Expedia and VRBO couldn’t reach the host for 5 DAYS. I had to pay an additional cleaning fee because they never answered. I never saw another person until the last night. Clearly no one has been monitoring things; the heat was on still (85° out) and the floors were dusty under my bed which is quite high off the floor so you can see it easily. At least bathroom was spotless. It was great to get all my work done at the mansion’s study and have a kitchen to warm up food and wash my dishes. Great water pressure, too!

Hayden Edwards facility
No one there on arrival at 3 PM, all doors locked. Listed phone numbers no longer working. After 30 minutes working with Nacogdoches Chamber of Commerce we were able to contact owner who provided codes to get in. Bathroom floor sloped so taking a shower created problem maintaining balance. No extra linens for a 2 night stay. Bedsheets did not fit and required adjustment during night. No coffee or pastry for morning. Room temperature at night was too warm, air conditioner made sounds like it wanted to come on but only hummed.

This was a wonderful Victorian home with pretty grounds, close to the historic downtown. The towels were pretty new and soft, but not cleaned well enough. Toilet paper ran out and I got no response to a text. Bought my own. Room had no lamp, only a harsh overhead light. Room had no comfortable seating area.
