"It was a last minute booking and paid way too much for what we got ( my fault) Wish I would have known it was more of a family vibe. Lots of kids in the hot tub. Never had any towels out. Getting in and out of the elevators was CRAZY… checking in was awful, trying to get in that crowded parking lot to get your things to your room. Next time I want to go to Myrtle Beach it will be a much smaller place."

"I vacationed with my 75 year old mother, 22 year old grad school daughter, and 17 year old athletic son. All four of us like quite different things, but there was something for everyone at The Ellie and plenty to enjoy all together as a family (beach, slides, adult pool (so nice), putt putt, evening pier walks)! Someone commented in the reviews that the property is retro—yes, it is!! Go in with that mindset, and you’ll love it. Retro but clean with updated rooms and bathrooms, just as you would expect from Hilton. The staff was fantastic, friendly and responsive. We took two beach umbrellas and a couple floats, and we were set for a few days. The beach is easily accessible and not crowded. This was one of my favorite beach vacations in the US. Can’t wait to take my husband next time! Please note that parking is $15 per day. There is also a $35 per day resort fee, but Hotels.com already adds that in, so don’t get surprised when you’re checking in. Just enjoy, and have fun!"

"Likes: 15th floor ocean view room was nice. 3rd floor ocean view room was not as nice it had slight ocean view then side of building. (No chance at a room change, all rooms booked per manager) hallways were very dirty. Our patio was always wet because the condensation from the AC drained onto the carpet. We were able to get into one of our two rooms before check-in and that was great. Didn’t get info on things like garbage, checkout, etc on check-in. But they wanted us to visit the time share person immediately (no Thankyou) Had to search for ice machines not every floor had them. The pool and pool areas were very nice and not really overly crowded. Could take your own beverages and just relax. I will more than likely shop around more before I book here again."

"Good property for the location and ameneties, wish they included breakfast in the price, the property is old and it shows in ameneties, the kids play area in the indoor pool area was broken and the foosball and ping pong tables are super old, but they are available. the rooms also were ok, we got the suite the size was good with our family and ocean view was beautiful."
