"We had a great stay for one night in Ios - wish we were there for longer! The bus dropped us right by the stop mentioned by the host and this was walkable to the property (about 10 mins). It was lovely and clean and decorated to a high standard. We had everything we needed for our short stay and the host was very prompt at arriving to give us the keys. "

The service was excellent, breakfast each morning was delicious, and the views were simply breathtaking. Our cave room was cozy and unique, and having a hot tub on the balcony overlooking the caldera made it unforgettable. Highly recommend!"

I read in other reviews room size was an issue for my wife and I the room size was great. Ask, the staff if the jacuzzi is cold because ours was hot. The views from the hotel are beautiful. "We stayed two nights at Calilo and I honestly don’t even know where to start. This place is stunning. From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by crystal-clear water, golden sand, and these incredible cliffs — it’s like a dream.
We learned while we were there that it took 20 years to build Calilo, and you can feel it in every detail. The whole property is full of artwork, hand-carved stone, and beautiful mosaics. It’s not just a hotel – it feels like you’re staying inside a gallery blended perfectly with nature. We travel quite frequently and this is arguably the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at.
We received a complimentary room upgrade and loved it! It had a ‘pond’, which was really a private pool and a terrace overlooking the beach. Just gorgeous!
The staff deserves a huge shoutout. Every single person we met was friendly, genuine, and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. From little surprises in the room to great tips about the island, it felt like they really cared about our experience. The bar manager and tender went above and beyond - even blending fresh mango just for our drinks!
