The house itself is nice and well located, but it wasn't properly prepared for our stay.
Issues we ran into:
- The tap water came out yellowish, with no notice in the listing or check-in info. The host took 15 hours to respond when asked if the water was safe to use to brush our teeth - she said don’t use it to brush or rinse. Unfortunately my whole team had already done so. Being on a work trip that could not be rescheduled we were worried our team might get sick. Very unfortunate.
-The hot tub, a main reason we booked, had a low water level and visible grime at the waterline. We were expected to fill it and balance the pH ourselves, so we didn't get to use it. This is the first time I’ve stayed at a property that expected the guest to prepare the hot tub.
- The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes from the last guests. It must have been sitting a while as it was very pungent when opened.
- Pine needles covered the back patio, cushions were strewn around, there was an empty liquor bottle on the dock, and a can of cigarette butts sat at the front door seating area
- The drink fridge was warm (24°C).
-One PlayStation controller didn't work properly. It constantly wants to turn left. With only two controllers this made gaming with a friend extremely difficult.
The host took 15 hours to reply to our first message, and has since stopped responding once we raised these concerns, we wouldn’t recommend until these issues are resolved.
