"Beautifully appointed and designed room, excellent location a few feet from major attraction, great breakfast and selection of food items and a very friendly and helpful staff. "
"I have been traveling for 5 months and this hotel was by far my favorite! I was blown away by the attention to detail, the powerful ritual and symposium and the incredible heated pool surrounded by replicas of goddesses. The couples’ massage was wonderful and the staff and experience couldn’t have been better. Mindblowingly great! We loved it! "
"Excellent view on Ostuni from the room’s amazing terrace (we booked room with city view), very good breakfast with lots of options. Parking super convenient just across the street. We took a Tuktuk to the historic center (15 euro) and walked back, it’s an easy 10 min walk. Shower on the smaller side but otherwise a great hotel."
"Very well located, in the center área, cars not allowed but paid parking is within walking distance. Friendly staff and city is a must see. Different from everything I have ever seen."
"Matera is breathtaking! Cenobio Hotel is elegance at it’s finest. The rooms are clean and the staff is helpful and accommodating. Recommend this place 100%!"

"Our stay was absolutely perfect from start to finish! I truly cannot recommend enough. Antonio and Martina, Marrise…not sure of spelling…and staff did everything to make our stay warm and welcoming. If you have time do not miss out on their restaurant and wine… in almost two weeks in Italy … our top picks. "
"Lovely breakfast, lovely hotel. Minor point the bathroom in room 125 could do with a lick of paint to freshen it up but overall anyone booking this hotel will be making a good choice in a unique location "
"It was an amazing location right in the centre of the old town. Very beautiful and quiet. Many steps involved but it was high up so less than other places and if you are going to Matera, you need to be good with steps. Wish we’d stayed 2-3 nights. "
"Great location, really good breakfast and staff were very helpful. Ok room but was surprised the room didn’t have a safe, tv or phone given it was a 4 star hotel. "
"The location is in the heart of the city . This palace is beautiful, our room was spacious, staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the roof top patio provided amazing views. Highly recommend "
"Aside from the hotel being very nice and comfortable and in a great location, unfortunately we experienced an emergency medical situation that drastically hindered my mobility. They quickly relocated us to a ground floor room as I could not traverse the stairs to our original 2nd floor room, mgmt helped my wife with the luggage while is was in ER and arranged cab service for us from hospital, to pharmacy and back to hotel. They went above and beyond in all regards. A special thanks to Denise who made things much easier for my wife while I was receiving treatment. If in Matera again I will definitely look to book."
