"Kid review: we loved this hotel. The room was really nicely decorated and I liked that the wallpaper matched the bedding. The window opened fully which was good as it was very hot. Everything was very clean and even the fridge smelled good. It had endless hot water and shower was great. I liked that it had a safe for important or expensive things, the cupboard would fit a lot of stuff. Breakfast was really good (lots of options, cereal, pastries, bread). Everyone was very polite and everyone waits their turn for the lift. The people that worked there were kind to us. Adult review: Agreed with all of the above but would add, hotel very kindly kept our luggage (in a locked room) so we could enjoy our last day in Rome. We had 3 single beds which fit a very large adult and were very comfortable. The lift is very small so a large group will need to split. The hotel is pretty accessible but there are around 6 steps to get into the building. I don’t think the location could be much handier for a few days in Rome as it really is just a few mins walk from Termini station. "

"The staff was very friendly! We very much liked our stay at this hotel. The room was a bit outdated and bathroom door wouldn’t open all the way bc of the toilet. We did like that the room was cleaned when we came back to every day. The breakfast was an extra $15 pp per day, so we opted out. Nice location as well. A lot of restaurants near by. "

"It was our first time in Rome and we didn’t know what to expect. The Hive was a very nice hotel, especially for the price. The images online don’t do it justice. Very clean, modern design. The rooms were spacious, but not large. I would say equivalent to a midpriced hotel in the USA. It has usb and usbc charging ports next to the bed for cell phones. The location is very close to the metro but a fair distance from the major attraction of Rome. Walkable to some but a quick Uber ride to the rest. It was quiet. There is a rooftop restaurant. A nice small grocery store within a block. Some decent restaurants within a block or two. I would stay here again. For reference, we are a middle class family in the Philadelphia, Pa. suburbs. Also, we arrived very early(7am) and the Hive was happy to stow our luggage for 5-6 hours before our rooms became available. We felt safe in the area. Again the graffiti and online images gave us pause, but I felt safe with my wife and kids. Hope this review helps others. "

"Dirty room and air con not working. We booked one night so that we could get a restful sleep. Air con didnt work so had to keep tbe balcony door open to keep cool at night. Problem is that is it across the termini and extremely noisy throughout the night.. the room, linen, headboard all very dirty.. dont stay.. its worse then bad!"
