Take a step back in time to this retro-chic, nicely remodeled home located right where you want to be on a sunny and very quiet 2/3 acre parcel just off the edge of downtown Murphys. A colorful and stylish mid-century motif with fun finds from the 50’s mixed right in with all the comforts and conveniences of today. A welcoming single-level design with three bedrooms plus a family room with fold out sofa bed that doubles as the 4th bedroom. The kitchen features a 5-burner gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator with automatic ice maker, and is well-stocked for all your cooking and entertaining. The dining table seats eight, with breakfast bar seating for three more. Fresh coffee, tea, half and half, and basic spices are provided. The main bathroom has a tub/shower combination, with plush towels, hair dryer and hotel toiletries, while the half bath with pedestal sink makes for a thoughtful addition. Hardwood floors run throughout most of the house. Other thoughtful touches include central forced air heating and air conditioning, ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room, an electric fireplace in the living room, laundry room, large closets, plus a good-sized hallway cabinet stocked with toys and games. Five-star amenities, like chocolates by the bedside, fresh flowers, snacks and free WIFI have it stand out from the rest. You came to Murphys to have fun, and that you will, with two dozen wine-tasting rooms, brew pubs, shops and restaurants located just a few blocks away. But just as much fun could be coming home to play board games around the dining room table, BBQ on the deck as you watch the kids and dogs chase each other around the yard, sit quietly on the covered front porch taking in the horses that graze in the meadow across the street, or watch the stars fill the night sky. A private street and gated entry makes for zero traffic noise and a peaceful sense of privacy, while allowing plenty of safe space for bike riding and outdoor games, with loads of off-street parking for your vehicles, boats and even a horse trailer or two. The single-story layout is a comfortable choice for guests of all ages, with a ramp to the back deck and no stairs providing easy access for those with limited mobility. Great house for a family get away. Perfect for our pup as well. Great fenced in front yard for the dog to run around. Comfortable beds and appreciated that all bedrooms had queen beds. Fully stocked kitchen and basket of snacks was the perfect touch!

Adorable home in downtown Murphys!!!!

We come to Murphys often and found this adorable home on our last visit. Would definitely rent again. Was spotlessly clean, well stocked kitchen with fresh coffee beans and creamer (we loved that touch). Plenty of room, very comfortable, very nice fenced front yard, as we brought our little dog, with a nice patio area to have coffee in the morning. The owner was also great about sending all information in advance so that we were able to check in as soon as we arrived, Excellent vacation rental.

Great house in a peaceful area

The property was in great condition just as advertised. I would say that an extra blanket in each room would be nice as the windows appear to be the original single pane and are drafty. Especially the master as the window is cracked and a piece is missing which allows a pretty good draft in. Overall a comfortable and fun house.

We had a wonderful stay! The property was exactly as described. We had 2 families of 4: 4 adults, and 4 children (age range 5-12), as well as our medium sized dog. We had plenty of space. The enclosed front yard was large and secure for our dog. The tv room was the perfect place for the kids to unwind in the evenings, while the adults played games at the large dining table. We would definitely rent this property again in the future.
