We loved our stay at Diamonds Old West! Our cabin was great and clean. The kids loved all of the activities on site for them. There are fire pits behind each cabin so bring what you’ll need for s’mores with you including the roasting sticks. They sell firewood on site but you can also bring your own. Mining and restaurants are close. Great place to spend some time with family!

The listing does not do this place justice. If you have children under 12, BOOK IT. There are a ton of children's activities and it was a hit with our kids. Basketball, volleyball, pedal cars, rope gym, playground, mud kitchen, rubber duck races, corn pit, jumping area. They have a bubble/foam party each day and light a fire in the teepee so you can cook hot dogs, smores, etc(bring your own supplies). The general store has a ton of cute things in it as well as needed items such as ice. Each room has a picnic table and fire pit/grill. It is a dry county so bring your own alcohol. The rooms are clean and cute. The little town set up is neat as well. They've really put some thought into this place. There were only a few things that could be improved. We checked in late and didn't receive a call or email telling us where the key was so that took a bit to figure out. The pedestal sink provides nowhere to sit anything including tooth brushes so that was frustrating. More of the folding tray tables in the room would have been great. RV spaces on the property would have made this a perfect spot for our extended family to come with us. We had an amazing time and will be back.

The property was very nice. Room was very clean. Easy to park. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. If there was one, not really a negative, I didn’t like was that the room lighting was dim. Otherwise it was an excellent place to stay.

Property was cute like an old Western movie. Rooms were nice and clean. The only drawback was the cabin had a musty smell. We did enjoy the little park on-site. My grandson had lots of fun with the foam party and we finished the night with making smores in the teepee. I would recommend this place for anyone with young kids.

Staff lady was very friendly and attentive. Will book directly through them next time. I booked thru another site and they had put us in the upstairs room. We did not realize that until we arrived there. Would prefer not to climb the stairs as we are older and the suitcase was difficult to get up those stairs. Stated this for other travelers to see, no fault of Diamonds Old West!

This is a must do!! So much for kids to do when chilling at the hotel. We loved it. The room was great- new - clean - we had the kitchen unit - it was well supplied. The staff was so friendly and helpful.

Solo weekender.
I enjoyed the stay except the people next door cooked some kind of food in microwave that stunk up my room horrible. The area was quiet and quaint. Loved the open area. Beth was very helpful with checking in and information about the area.

Not very welcoming. Did not stay. Happily took a loss on the nonrefundable rate. Had to sign a list of rules and the subsequent penalties one would suffer if the rules were broken. Did not receive the room I was under the impression I had reserved- but wait- that was my fault. Poor customer service. Won’t be back and cannot recommend.

Customer booked online with Expedia an upstairs room. Arrived and was very ugly to staff when she demanded a downstairs unit. We tried to explain we were booked out and that she booked the room she had. We tried to assist guest but she refused. She did not go to room or stay with us . We work very hard for our customers and our reviews will show this . I hate that was not the case or opportunity here.

If you ever get a chance to stay here, you should. Such a fun place! I wish we stayed longer to enjoy the property. The staff were super helpful. We arrived late and we’re called to let us know how to check in. If you have children this is definitely where you should stay!! Heck, even if you don’t, it’s a fun place. Rooms are decorated with a western theme and very clean. We will stay here again if we’re ever in the area.

Excellent stay. We met up there with family coming from another state. It provided a very clean property in good repair with activities available for the kids and areas to gather and visit with our family. The only thing that I wish they had was some basics in the room such as soap/shampoo. Staff was very friendly and accomidating. Grill/firepits and picknic table was provided for each cabin. Be aware that there are a significant amount of stairs for the upstairs portion of the cabins.

This property is set up like an Old West Town. It is located a bit out of town but only like 5 minutes. There was archery, a Corn Pit (think ball pit), a bouncey pad, and a ship-shaped play structure. The room was extremely clean. There is a front porch to sit out in the evenings or early mornings. There is a campfire made in the teepee nightly. We roasted marshmallows. The little gift shop on property had everything you might need. Bring you own shampoo and bath gel. Our room had an ac unit, hairdryer, microwave, small refrigerator/freezer, coffeemaker table and chairs and a sofa. There was wifi on property but it didnt work well in the room, but worked great on the front porch. The pillows were a little worn but i just doubled them. It is a quirky place but very clean. If you want basic hotel there are lots of other locations. But we chose this one and were pleasantly surprised.

We stayed here because a family emergency brought us to town and the other choices on hotels.com appeared substandard. It's a unique Old West themed place which probably would be fun if this had been a vacation rather than just a place to rest. If you're going to the diamond mine or the lake or river it's probably a good bet. Not walking distance from the town center, though.

This is the best child friendly place I’ve stayed. Huge playground with a pirate ship, teepees, a corn house, a pedal car race course. And they did bubble parties in the evening. My kid had so much fun. The little town and cabins were adorable!

My son and I visited for only two nights & we both wish it was longer. This place is a real "gem". ;) The grounds & rooms are clean & beautiful. The staff are all kind & friendly. They have so many fun little touches everywhere...5pm foam party, 6pm campfire (s'mores), corn pit, rubber duck racing, archery... I really can't say enough good things about them. We will definitely be back.

Kid-friendly stay
This is a fun place for kids to stay. They have a great playground with slides and swings, several activities, and at 5:00 each day a foam party. The kids LOVED that. The room was in good condition and clean; we stayed in the sheriff room. Be prepared to hear the people below if they have heavy steps, as I’m sure they could hear our 6yr old. The office/store has lots of beverages and some other items in case you forgot something.

What a unique and fun place. We loved it so much. We could easily have stayed longer, in fact I recommend 2-3 nights/ days. Kids loved it so much! Play area is amazing. Because we're from a major metropolitan area we also loved seeing the stars at night. We downloaded an app and it was so fun. We may just make this an annual stop. I almost hate to brag on it in fear we can't get an opening, but it's just too awesome not to suggest for other families to enjoy.

Great facilities for families! My 11 yo son loved the old west theme and kid friendly activities. Peddle cars, jump pad, corn crib, archery, & duck races were a few of his favorites. All equipment (bow and arrow, badminton, basketball) that we needed could be checked out from the front desk. Even had nightly s’mores in the tee pee. Very close to the Crater of Diamonds. Would recommend and stay again.
