Superior Street Rental #1 Downtown Munising, 2023 Remodel

  • Welcome to Munising Michigan, the home of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Waterfalls, Boat Cruises, Scenic Tours, and some great Yooper Pasties! Located right in downtown Munising within walking distance to most attractions and food. This apartment is perfect for short or long stays, whether you are passing through on vacation, or coming up for work and looking for furnished housing. Open concept living and kitchen area. Bedroom one has a Queen bed and bedroom two has two double beds. Electric fireplace and a flat screen TV in each room. We recently added a grill outback for guest use, this is also shared with unit #2. There is a firepit with seating as well, that is also shared with other guests. Pet friendly for dogs up to 30lbs, 2 dog limit and there is a $53/pet fee.
    Located on the 2nd Floor, the stairwell includes 21 steps to access the units. Larger groups can rent more than one unit in the building if needed, there is a total of 4. Call us for more information.

    **PETS! Airbnb may only charge you for the 1st pet, you will be requested to send an additional $50 plus tax ($53) per pet. Our pet policy is $50/pet plus. If Airbnb does not collect this amount you are still responsible. We're respecting your pet, so please respect our pet policy. Clean up after your pet, please do not allow pets on furniture. Please keep kenneled if left alone. If your pet barks when you are gone, please do not leave it alone.

    ***There is a doorbell camera mounted at the back entryway outside.

    ***Door code will be released the night prior to check-in for security purposes.

Friends trip

Location was amazing, walkable to everything. Although places close so early. The space was good for 5 people (one on couch) since we weren't home except in evenings. Bed's and pillows comfortable and appreciated the window air conditioners. Hot water heater small for our group of 5 (2 people had warm showers at a time). Adorable little kitchen area well stocked. Host was very responsive and tried to remedy any Inconveniences quickly. Over all recommend this Vrbo.

Nice Little Upstairs Apartment

It worked great for our family of 6. We liked the open floor plan and it was very clean. We loved the beach decor. The sheets were super soft. We were slightly disappointed with [heel?] hole in the back of the tub, but my little guy was still able to take a bubble bath with the tape repair. We would stay again.

Nice little place in Munising, quaint old charm

Good little apartment in an old building downtown Munising. Has some quirks (no dishwasher, no w/d, very small and short shower, the bed in the primary bedroom is really uncomfortable and squeaky. Nice little kitchen area however the oven took forever to heat up. Location is great and you can walk to town easily. It was great that there was a TV in each room. The building had great character. Enjoyable experience

fall foliage trip to Michigan

The apartment was conveniently located. It was clean the beds were very comfortable. Take non-slip slippers with you as the wood floors were very slippery if you walked on them when wearing just socks. Otherwise we really liked this apartment. The kitchen was well equipped, which is not always the case with rental apartments. The management company did a great job of communicating with us about check in & out procedures.

Perfect for families

This location is perfect. We walked to the coffee shop/bookstore, restaurants, and cute souvenir shop. The apartment is very clean and has a few quirks but nothing negative that effected our stay. It's just an old building. The apartment is decorated so cute, has plenty of window a/c units for the space for summer and a faux fireplace for some extra heat for winter. It feels spacious due to the layout and was absolutely perfect for our families home base. Day trips to hike, kayak and beach it were a breeze with this location. The management company was very attentive and customer service excellent.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay here with our 18mo old toddler. It was very comfortable and nicely decorated and felt surprisingly spacious. We liked being walking distance to most of the Munising highlights. The stovetop took a very long time to heat up and it smelled like the floor had recently been refinished, but neither of those things bothered us too much. We found it well stocked with coffee and spices despite the description :)

It was clean upon arrival and property manager was quick to respond and resolve issues. We used this as a long-term rental over the winter and had minor issues with snow removal and heat, but everything was resolved on the same day we notified them. The internet worked great, tvs in every room, they left extra sheets and towels and have recycling. When our family comes to visit, we will definitely be using this rental company to rent out these lovely apartments! You can walk to coffee shops, bars, and shops. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Cute and cozy place with plenty of space and kitchen area to enjoy meals and talking. #1 is on the street side so noise and light from the road were noticeable. White noise from the clock solved the noise issue. Blackout curtains would be a nice addition, but if you hike all day, sleep comes easier! Cleaning crews could take a peek at corners, lights and vents - lots of dust and a few spiders hanging around. Pictured Rocks Vacation Rentals are very responsive to all communications. I would definitely go through them again. If I chose this location of rental, I would likely look for a back apartment versus #1 at the front.

Loved the location right in the middle of town and above a little coffee shop/restaurant. Walking distance to shops, brewery, food, Lake Superior. The only thing that would have made it nicer would be a view. The bathroom was very small but suitable. The kitchen was great although it seemed like the stove took a long time to heat up. I would recommend they add a tea kettle for us tea drinkers! Overall would definitely recommend, fantastic value!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived on a Friday night. After waiting an hour for the oven to preheat we called the office and then the alternate phone number for current guests. Nobody answered either phone or called us back the entire time we were there. I left another message when we checked out and never got a response to that. Our entire stay the oven never preheated. I stay at rentals instead of hotels so we can cook our own food. I fully understand there wasn’t going to be an immediate fix to the oven, but I was very disappointed that no one responded. We had to make multiple changes to our plans as a result of the oven not functioning as it should. Even the stove top cooked very slow just to fry eggs.
