The hotel grounds and scenery were excellent. The staff was friendly. The shower never got more than luke warm, the shower curtain was covered with mold and mildew. The only room decor was two small mirrors above the bed, in the middle of the night the mirror above me fell and hit me on the head. I was ok, but the mirror was just sitting on the head board with some putty holding it in place. I should’ve demanded my money back because that could’ve ended differently if that glass in the frame had broke, but the young girl at the front desk didn’t deserve to be yelled at. If not for the nice staff and beautiful location, I would have left one star.

They had just opened for the season, stain on the floor, varnish peeled off the top of the dresser, pipes dripped all night, needed some T L C. Breakfast was a hard package muffin, coffee & juice. The people were nice and the location was wonderful, the room was cute but they just needed to fix it up.

The view of Lake Superior is amazing. The staff were nice. The motel is old. Our room smelled musty and the bathroom smelled like urine. The wall and ceiling near the shower was coming apart. The AC unit fan and bathroom fan had built up greasy dust on them.
