Newer hotel in a great location, safe, quiet, short walk or two-stop bus ride to the Ostbahnhof, also close to bus stops. Close to the Werksviertel area, lots of restaurants and bars there. Very convenient having the Rewe, Lidl and DM in the level below the hotel. Well maintained, excellent air conditioning (was there during a heat wave), clean, friendly and accomodating staff, great complementary breakfast, tea/water/coffee available 24/7 in the lobby. Couldn't have asked for a better stay, highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

Very pleasant, with grocery stores conveniently located in the same complex, with underground connection through the parking garage. The staff were very helpful to our group during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Room was spacious (superior suite) bathroom very good. Breakfast was excellent. Only minor negative point were that the room was cleaned only every third day and during some hours of the day re reception was empty. But I would definitely stay there again. The hotel was also near a major transport hub (Ostbanhof)

The room was clean however basic cooking equipment such as a cooking pot were not in the room on arrival although this was quickly fixed when requested. Perhaps a room inventory should be checked off by housekeeping before check-in to ensure basic equipment is available. There was rarely staff at the reception desk but staff at Moxy cover both hotels. There is no bar, but again you can use Moxy. There is a Lidl and Rewe supermarket downstairs to pick up food to cook in the room and breakfast is also good with scrambled eggs, pancakes and continental breakfast available. It's around 10 minutes to Ostbahnhof for U and S-bahn trains as well as the S8 direct to the airport and regional trains.

Excellent for a family stay

We stayed as a family of 2 adults + 1 child (9) and found the hotel to be perfect for our stay. Location is great in terms of easy access to the Ostbahnhof station and buses and having supermarkets at our doorstep was a massive bonus. Room was very clean, very quiet and had excellent facilities. Free breakfast was great - it does get quite hectic but to be expected! Would definitely stay here again if we were coming back to Munich.

Great stay

I was visiting Munich on vacation with my wife. We were very happy with our stay. The room was clean and spacious. Its a newer place so the condition of the hotel is very good. The breakfast buffet, which was included with the room offerred a great selection and plenty of food. You dont need lunch after the breakfast at the hotel. The location is about a 10 min walk to the Munich East train station which has connections to many places. There is also a large grocery store in close by, which we didnt use much but could be convenient. Parking was 20 Euro per day and there were not really any other options, but if you stay inside the ring road in Munich i think you have to accept you are going to pay for parking. I would happily stay here again

The Residence Inn Ostbahnhof is in a great location - just a couple blocks from the train station. It was easy and quick getting everywhere we wanted in the city. The hotel looks pretty new and it's super clean. The room was spacious and had a great kitchenette area. We didn't experience any noises during our 5 night stay. We had lots of windows in our room and the curtains were so great at keeping the morning light out while we slept. One of my favorite aspects was the breakfast. It was such a great spread of German breakfast staples and some other favorites from other areas of the world. All of the staff was friendly from the front desk agents, houskeeping, and breakfast staff. I would stay here again and again. I cannot recommend it enough!

Really good hotel

There are a number of hotels in this area for the businesses that are here. I have tried the Moxy and the Adina and so far this is my favourite. The bed was comfortable (with a full sized duvet unlike the Adina with it's weird pair of singles) and there's hanging space (unlike the Moxy). The room was large with a nice bathroom that had everything you would need. There was a small kitchen but I didn't really test it out. The fridge could be turned down to zero so that it would shut up. Housekeeping didn't come very often. I was there for 5 days and they only came once. Not a problem for me as I hung towels to dry and kept the place tidy but something to note.
