While camping at Shores Lake, we were up close to sunrise and made our way up the road to the ridge overlooking the whole lake. There was a good layer of fog over the lake this morning and the moon was still out as well. Deep in the Ozark National Forest, you'll find a place once occupied by Southern, Confederate soldiers. Devil's Canyon, home to a small skirmish had taken place in this area. Either drive along the rim of a small trail or hike down it to find this beautiful creek that feeds a nice waterfall and provides a nice, little swim hole in the summer. #devilscanyon #ARhistory #exploreAR #theSouth #waterlust
I am finally getting around to editing my Colorado trip. We start on first night on my way to Colorado. After driving around 12 hours I was on the West side of Arkansas. I was looking for a place to sleep for the evening, but couldn't find many campgrounds. I saw this lake on my map though and decided to try to get some night shots. I set up my camera and captured this shot of the Milky Way. It is a 19 image composite. I just hid my camera near the lake edge and slept in my car while it shot all night.
