"Difficult for me to rate this property because I’m on a lot of positives, there was one significant negative. The room was relatively nice if a little outdated, the staff was very nice and responsive, and the location was good. Hood River, a town we knew nothing about, turned out to be a pleasant little surprise with a great waterfront, some cute breweries and restaurants, and easy access to great hiking and views
Now for the negative, which made things difficult to me. The property is located right next to a road and immediately beyond that is the highway. With the blind up, the window was on the same level as all the cars passing by and you could definitely hear the highway although it did not interfere with sleep.
So, I would say comfortable middle level property but definitely try to get a room that is not adjacent to the highway."
