We also feature a 10,000-gallon rainwater catchment that is ALWAYS full! Enjoy rainforest showers with endless hot water! Our cabins are newly updated with added comforts. Although we have everything you will want to be comfortable, we have done so in a sustainable way and have recently converted to solar.
This rustic, under the sea themed jungalow with exposed stud walls with built in shelves for a light, open feel, features a mini fridge, propane heater, private full bathroom and covered lanai. There is one queen bed in the cabin. We have one other cabin with a queen bed as well as a listing where friends can travel together. The cabins are right next to each other making it ideal for groups! This cabin does not have a window.
There is COMMUNITY kitchen on property that is shared with one other rental cabin. The cabin, lanai and bathroom are private and only used by you, it is just the kitchen that is shared. Even though the bathroom is outdoors, it provides privacy for showering of course.
We provide a detailed welcome packet with a variety of mostly free but some paid must see/do activities on the island that our past guests have loved!
HOT TUB We have a hot tub deck with a plug n play spa. Use of this is available for $15 extra PER night of your stay, regardless if used every night or not. You will need to let us know ahead of time if you plan to add this. The hot tub deck is communal space.
ANIMALS We have a 501(c)(3) dog rescue on property and outdoor cats. People that stay with us, should like animals.
TOURS At night your ears will be greeted by the forest with sounds of coqui frogs. Many people love them. Please search for Bathing Suits and Rain Boots on YouTube to find a video of what our property sounds like at night. Our channel also features videos of tours we offer. Our tours include off the beaten path adventures ranging from sunrises and geothermal Kings baths, to hikes that lead to waterfalls!
BEACH GEAR We have boogie boards, surf boards and snorkel gear available for guests as well as beach towels!
MISC There are a total of four cabins on the one-acre lot. The owners and groundskeeper are on property including a dogs, cats, and chickens. We are a 501c3 nonprofit dog rescue so there are various dogs/puppies here at any given time. We love when our guests take dogs on field trips! =) We homestead and have many foods growing such as lilikoi, bananas, papayas, pineapple, fig, strawberries, poha berries, sugar cane, lemons, blood oranges, rosemary, basil and more!
Rainforest massages are available starting at $100 for the hour.
Please note the main image is not visible from the cabin. We are about about a 30 minute drive from the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
We are at 1880ft elevation so it can get chilly at night. All of our cabins are equipped with propane heaters for comfort. Winters are also rainy season so if traveling to the Big Island in the winter, we suggest some light layers for warmth, a raincoat and rain boots.

We had a great stay! The host does a great job providing everything you need for a very unique experience staying near Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The surrounding area is dark with some rough roads, but it is worth it given this excellent stay.
I cannot say enough about this place! Dawn thought of everything to make this stay wonferful. Gorgeous location in the jungle and a beautiful cabin! Perfect if you want to explore the area and feel close to nature, but dont quite want to do the whole camping thing. My only complaint is that we didnt stay longer! :)
We had a fabulous time, the cabin and location was BEAUTIFUL!!! Loved our kitty friends, they visited daily. And our host Dawn was fabulous. Would definitely stay here again!!!
It was such a cute little cabin that we stayed in, open to the elements but also felt secluded. We were greeted by two excited puppies and it made the stay feel more like home. Would highly recommend.

Very very great place. Dawn is wonderful and very helpful.
We loved this place and for sure will come back.
Many thanks Dawn!
The property is amazing and Dawn is so sweet. It’s the perfect size space for one or two people and the views were so beautiful. I took a shower while looking into the rainforest.
We enjoyed our stay very much. It is a fun and unique cabin. The only issue was checking in after dark was hard. We hit a rock in the driveway and had a hard time finding the cabin.
Get away from everything and everyone. Dawn’s space is a perfect abode for relaxation and aloha! The nights are filled with the sounds of nature. Dawn is an amazing host and so knowledgeable for all of our questions. Bonus is her sweet doggos that are in for all the pets and kisses. Great amenities, hope to stay again in the future!

For what we needed and wanted for this trip it was great. This host propertyhelped us out of a little booking bind to get this trip done
Very cool property. Easy to get to, if a 15min drive from the highway. The host provided excellent suggestions for how to make best use of our stay in the area. There could be more lighting in the unit, but everything else was great. Rustic, but comfy.
