A wonderful home right in the lap of nature soaking in beautiful Mount Shasta. We spent a most relaxing and rejuvenating weekend in Basecamp lodge. Being vegetarians, we were able to come back after our day long trek and cook nice meals using the well equipped kitchen. Provisions easily purchased from the nearby supermarket, Ray’s food place is a great option 10 min away. The cabin had an elegant design with a good working TV and internet :). A perfect getaway for a couple or a small family!

Active construction going on at the property that was inconvenient and disruptive. Although it’s nice they are making upgrades, it would have been nice to know before booking so I could have taken that into consideration for my stay. A discounted rate considering would have been appreciated. There were no staff on site for the duration of my stay. Someone left the laundry machine that had tripped while full of water and I had to reset the power strip and rinse/drain it. The bunk room was clean and cozy. Bathroom was clean and nice, except the shower head was low pressure. Good location.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of space for everyone. We especially loved that each room had its own AC, which made everyone’s stay even more comfortable. We really enjoyed the space and felt right at home. We would definitely stay here again! Everyone was extremely attentive to our needs and questions. Thank you!

Basecamp lodge is a beautiful property slightly away from the main Mount Shasta town. The property is clean and you get "the freshest water in the USA" in the tap. The beds are big (we had a king bed) and very comfortable. You have beautiful Mount Shasta views from the property and it's close to all the hikes, waterfalls and lakes you want to visit.

Overall great stay! Only complaint is the window coverings, they give you privacy but do not block the sunlight at all. If you want to sleep past 8 am you should bring a sleep mask otherwise the room will be filled with light. A small investment in black out drapes would make a world of difference.
