"This hotel is well-located and easily-walkable to little shops and cafes. The price was fair for the room (and breakfast!) and we got a room with a balcony which was lovely. "The service at this hotel needs special mention. Nthing was too much trouble and staff went well above and beyond what was expected. Arriving late we were welcomed by the restaurant manager (the only person still working) were shown to our room and offered a late meal (very welcome) asking at reception the next day for recommendations as to where to visit, within 5 minutes a knock on the door and a sheaf of suggestions in english. The restaurant is superb and the food excellent.

"Property rooms, facilities and restaurants are all very good. Only areas that were not ideal for me is having a safe place to go on walks (have to walk on a very busy road with little shoulder space. Overall a very nice place to stay"

"We stayed here about 30 years ago and enjoyed it. No change this time !!!! Room was classic (not modern). Beds a little firm. Balcony view was beautiful. The breakfast was wonderful and staff very pleasant. Does have a lift so that was very helpful with our luggage. Overall a great stay and value."
