"I love this wonderful hotel. Ok, it’s maybe a bit old fashioned, but it’s clean, quiet, comfortable and has a friendly local feel. It really does seem like a home from home, except the food is better here! It’s great value for money too. I’ll make a point of staying at the Commercial whenever I’m in the area."

"Staying in a single room for the night. Old fashioned hotel in a stunning location. Clean and comfortable. Shower facilities good. Very peaceful and relaxing. Had a great nights sleep. Continental breakfast was okay at best. Avoid the fruit bowl. Saw several flies hovering over it. Plus the coffee machine was erratic. When it did work, the quality of the coffee was not great. Just two minor blemishes in an otherwise enjoyable stay."

"Furniture in living room is extremely bad, there are no springs in sofas, sits very bad. Lots of cobwebs in cottage, large beetle found in a bed, frying pan needs replacing, dangerously old Teflon. Views are beautiful. No laundry in unit but available close by. Housekeeper very responsive."

"Very clean and modern place to stay with high-tech facilities. Despite being close to nature, the Wi-Fi is super fast and the heating keeps the place very warm and cozy. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere, and I love the design and decor. The kitchen and room are very spacious. It's so convenient to visit the farm animals during the day and stargave at midnight! Nicky is very friendly and welcoming. Perfect place to stay in Kirriemuir—will definitely revisit!"
