The kitchen is a bright and social space that makes group cooking a breeze. It comes exceptionally well provisioned with everything from a lobster pot for a traditional Maine bake to an air fryer for quick snacks.

To keep you comfortable, we provide window AC units in all bedrooms and use dehumidifiers to manage the coastal humidity. Being right on the shoreline, the common areas are cooled by natural lake breezes and fans. The property is functional and full of character, sitting on a quiet residential road where the rhythm of the pond is the main attraction.

Somesville is the historic heart of Mount Desert Island and offers a peaceful, sophisticated alternative to the high traffic tourist centers.
