"Great small homely hotel with fabulous views of the hills and moors. Nice bar and lounge with excellent breakfast in morning. We stayed in main hotel but the little cabins look fab. Will come back to try one. Great place to stay when visiting the area. Great night out in uppermill … lots of pubs and restaurants just 2 miles away"

"The pod of screens to sign yourself in when you arrive is not very welcoming but staff very helpful and dealt with this. Decent size car park now chargeable all week (contra information in room which suggested Fri night to Sun are free - apparently out of date). Decennt breakfast sensibly priced if you scan the code in your room beforehand. Restaurant/room service stops by 9:30 which was inconveniently early. If you can avoid room 101 which is right by the lift shaft and noisy. Would stay here again."

"The staff are fantastic. I notified a member of the bar staff that we had a booking and he got me checked in immediately, sorted our keys out for us and showed me the room. He gave me good detail about the hotel and the fire exits, door keys etc. The rooms are separated from the pub by a locked door that you're given a key for. This is very reassuring and secure. The pub itself was quiet before too late so getting to sleep was easy. The fan in the room was very much appreciated as we stayed during the heat wave. The rooms are nice and clean, the bathroom is very well appointed and again clean to a very good standard. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the TV was well connected with good reception. The parking on the property was ample for us, we arrived on a Saturday night and didnt struggle for a space. There is a tablet to register your cars registration upon check in, its very easy to use, though I think I may have entered the wrong registration personally. 😅 im still waiting for a parking notice to come through the door. Hopefully I didnt. Anyway, the fairways was in a perfect location for us, we were visiting Manchester for the Half Marathon and wanted to stay outside the city centre in case it was too busy. This was ideal. A short 12 minute or so drive into the city centre the next morning ready for the run. Thank you again to the staff at the fairways."
