You get what you pay for…most of the time. The good: quint retro looking motel. Good bed. Fair value. Room for improvement: although bed/sheets and room in general were clean, lots of needed detail cleaning; bathroom door, window tracks, etc need deep cleaning. Good place in general, but surprised at all the positive reviews. It’s a 3 out 5 on a good day.

Decent little spot
The owners are clearly very caring and doing their best to renovate an old motel. They are super sweet and friendly and willing to bend over backwards to make sure you enjoy your stay. That being said it is an older roadside motel. It may never be the Hilton but it is owned by a good honest family that is clearly making a huge effort to be a success. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The toilet was possibly the shortest and most petite I have ever seen. The heater was decent but did take a while to warm the room. The tv was great and everything in the room worked. If you like supporting small family business it was well worth the very small compromises in luxury.

10/10 Amazing motel in Moses lake WA I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sage n Sand Motel in Moses Lake, owned by the wonderful David, and I must say that my experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment I stepped foot on the property, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a genuine smile. The motel itself is a hidden gem in Moses Lake. The exterior of the building is well-maintained, giving it a charming and inviting feel. As I entered my room, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well-appointed it was. The attention to detail was evident, and it was clear that David takes great pride in ensuring his guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the linens were crisp and clean. I appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided, such as a mini-fridge and microwave, which made my stay even more convenient. One aspect that truly sets the Sage n Sand Motel apart is the exceptional customer service provided by David. He went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and was always readily available to answer any questions. His passion for hospitality was evident in every interaction, and it made me feel like a valued guest. The location of the motel is also fantastic. It is conveniently situated near various attractions and activities in Moses Lake.

Highly recommend Sage n Sand Motel in Moses Lake
Very clean comfortable and friendliest service ever. Upgraded room and provided beverage so we didn’t have to walk. Accommodated parking for our 60’ trailer/truck in parking lot next to office. Highly recommend. Keep up the fantastic service. Cheers!

Excellent value!
Thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at Sage 'N' Sand Motel in Moses Lake WA! All of the rooms were beautifully remodeled recently. It looks like an old motel on the outside but my room looked like a modern hotel room! I love that I could open the bathroom window a crack to let fresh air in. Many if not most properties seal their windows shut these days, leaving customers with nothing but an a/c unit for air flow. I highly recommend this motel to anyone looking to stay anywhere near Moses Lake!

Good effort and clean rooms
Clean, convenient and like the old Motor Inns you can pull right up to your room. There are long term renters that are local workers that leave early in the morning. Upon check in, we were surprised to find the 'dog friendly' notice in their advertisment meant $25 extra dollars! Low cost went out the window then.

This motel is sooo clean and the proprietor was friendly & helpful. We had a spacious room with a kitchen. Very comfortable for 4 adults for the weekend. We slept great and even hung out there some during the day. I will stay here again.

Very impressed. Older motel with new owners and they are doing a great job. The place is very clean. The area is quiet and the owners seem like they really care. I had some changes to my travel plans and they were also very accommodating. Would recommend. Great value for the price.

The room was recently renovated and was clean. Bed was comfortable. We stayed on a Saturday night, not so quiet in the early hours 2-3 am woke up to loud voices and other sounds.

For a budget motel I was quite pleased. It was older but remodeled a bit and kept nicely. I was also very surprised how clean it was. The room was comfy and smelled nice. Everything seemed very clean. The bedding was very clean and comfortable, no scratchy sheets. Area seemed safe and it was quiet at night. Only complaint I guess I would have is that there is carpet in the rooms which I don’t really like. It had a few small stains but seemed clean for carpet. Also the mattress is a little soft for my likening. I prefer a firm mattress. Overall was a nice stay. Would stay here again if in the area.

We were in Moses Lake for a visit of childhood haunts and to see various sights in the Channeled Scablands. This cute 50s motel, recently renovated by the new owners, was perfect for us. The owners were gracious and prompt with requests, the coffee in the morning was hot and strong, and the room was clean and comfortable. Thanks, David and family!

The Sage and Sand was very sketchy. There were people living there and the outside was cluttered with junk and garbage. The rooms were old and overall it did not seem safe there. I would not recommend.

I stayed at this hotel while back under previous ownership. It unbelievably changed and excellent value. All unbelievably clean, updated, beds comfortable and linens excellent. Good sit down food is hard to come by in Moses Lake. The Enzo which is just down the toad one of the better .

Wonderful little place!
Great little place! The owners are wonderful people and even invited us to their garden for tea. This kind of hospitality you won’t get from big chain hotels. This little motel was clean and quiet even though it was busy. David and his family made the stay even more enjoyable. Will definitely stay again when heading to the Gorge and will highly recommend to others.

It looks so unassuming, but they've definitely taken care to make the rooms a welcoming and comfortable as possible. The bed was amazing! So comforting after a long drive back from a concert at The Gorge. I loved the shower, too. The best part though was the delicious smell we were greeted with. I don't know what the proprietors were making for dinner, but it smelled absolutely divine.

Stayed here while attending a concert at the gorge, it is under new ownership and one of the most impeccably kept motels I’ve been to. Super clean, quiet, modern, affordable, safe, great location. It's a nice enough place definitely not 4 star pool was not available the t.v and as entena rooms where really small for the $180. A night they charge the staff was outstanding they really care about your stay and have recently took over the place and are doing well on the improvements just a little more work and maybe they could justify there rates for what they offer motel 6 has for $67 a night and bigger rooms better TV and a working pool

I chose this hotel because it was reasonable and had super high ratings. It was ok for what it is, an old style roadside motel. The room smelled a little when we first came in so we aired it out, turned off the air conditioner ( it was around 65 degrees) the room was clean. The shower was good. The bed was comfortable.

Overall, great stay!
Overall, great stay. We were in a corner room right next to a fairly busy roadway so we could hear the noise of vehicles throughout the night. Rooms were clean and very nicely done. We will definitely stay here again! Good spot for the price.

The property is older and quaint but well maintained. Our room was updated and clean and quite spacious for two of us. The bed was comfortable. A new shower head would be my only recommendation. It was perfect for a night on the road.
