"This is an excellent country hotel, about 1.5 miles down a lane from the main a1, it’s quiet and peaceful and although in need of refurbishment, which it’s getting after November this year, is still extremely nice. The rooms are old fashioned but comfortable and warm ( when you work out how to turn the heating on (why don’t they tell you?)): staff are wonderful and the food is excellent. Breakfast is really good with continental and cooked meals, evening meals are brilliant, they seem a little expensive until compared with neighbouring restaurants after checking, but the variety and quality is really exceptional. Service is good, efficient but not over friendly, and exactly as it should be. The extensive grounds provide the perfect backdrop to this hotel. I highly recommend it, but hope that the alterations and extensions starting this November, don’t spoil the experience. "

"Beautiful studio, exactly as described on site. Perfect for us and our two dogs. Loved having use of the garden. Owners are very friendly and helpful, great to have the local knowledge. Warkworth is stunning, beach is fabulous and an easy walk from the property and the coastal path walks are beautiful "
