"The property was immaculate and every little convenience. We made use of the pool every day. Going to sleep and waking up to the crashing waves is such a luxury. View is not as unobstructed as the picture but you can still see the water. All the other photos are exactly what you get, a gorgeous and relaxing villa. Highly recommended for an extended stay. Hosts are very responsive and accommodating."

"We were greeted very warmly by host, who treated us like family and was helpful in recommending nearby amenities and restaurants. The apartment was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Property located conveniently from amenities and only a few minutes away by car from beaches and several attractions found in the northern part of the island. "My family of 12 stayed at the Old Sugar House from April 2-7. The house is soooo beautiful, clean and spacious. The pictures do not do it justice at all. The garden and views are breathtaking. Short drive to beautiful beaches. It was so easy communicating with Sue,she was always quick to reply, very pleasant, patient with my many questions and made some great suggestions in preparation for our arrival. The staff is an added bonus that made our vacation a true vacation. They are all so lovely. We did not have to lift a finger. Bibi made sure the house was spotlessly clean, beds made, laundry done. Terry is a fabulous chef who prepared meals with love and catered to those with various food allergies. Wendell made the best rum punch and was available for anything we needed. Thank you Old Sugar House for the memories our family will never forget!! We will be back for sure!!"

"Shops and restaurants are nearby, but the walk is about 15 minutes. The kitchen appliances are old and need replacing. Pots and pans were plentiful, but cutlery and glasses were shared with upstairs unit. The beach chairs provided and the outdoor furniture was great. Thank you. The layout of the apartment and the furniture provided excellent. Wifi and TV great. No need for an alarm, the rooster next door will wake you to see the sunrise. "

"The best part of this property is definitely the outdoor space! Nicely furnished inside and out. There was poor communication with Andreas so some things need attention, specifically, the microwave that stopped working during our stay. Not the best dishwasher. The kitchen was void all spices except s&p. The bathrooms are not supplied with shampoo or soap so bring your own. The beds are very firm so great if that’s what you like. The grounds are well cared for. "

"This was our second time staying here. We love the location and the amenities provided. Paul and Gabriel are both so helpful and accommodating. The upstairs apartment is clean and bright, and with so many windows in all the rooms, the cross breeze keeps it cool at night. Loved waking up to coffee on the small deck, and watching the birds and monkeys, even the chickens. We had a car, so getting around was no problem, but it is walkable to a beautiful beach, restaurants and groceries. God willing, we will be back again. We have been to Barbados many times, but this is our favorite place to stay. A local neighbourhood with friendly people. Feels very safe, and we couldn’t be happier with the apartment."

"Of you’re looking for a quiet retreat on the East Coast of Barbados, this house is perfect.It is in a great location (just down the road from Cattlewash beach), and has a beautiful sunrise view of the ocean.If you are arriving after 7 pm, I’d definitely suggest grabbing dinner on the way since most restaurants on this side of the island close between 6 and 7 pm!We did not know this and were traveling with kids…so it’s good info to have.Outside of that, it’s a great place to stay if you’re looking for peace and quiet."
