6/10 Okay

We 6 stayed here at the end of May 2025 (two early 20’s, two early 50’s, and 2 early-mid 70’s). Property was reasonably clean. You get the top two floors of a 3-story row house. Bedroom on the ‘first’ floor and two bedrooms upstairs. Half bath on the 2nd floor, two full baths, so anyone staying on the 2nd floor needs to go up another flight to shower. The mattress in the master felt like you were sleeping on sacks of potatoes. Can’t comment on others. No extra towels, pillows, or sheets that we could find. There is a small bespoke built in ‘dining table’ off the kitchen but you have to be anorexic to fit between the seat and the table. So, you’re looking at the 3 bars stools off the kitchen island as a place to eat. Two big issues for future renters. (1) The unit is accessed by an external staircase. It’s wedged in the small space between the sidewalk and front of the building (common architectural feature in Montreal). These are steep and narrow/curving stairs. If anyone in your party is even remotely mobility impaired, they will be a hazard. After some rain to add to the potential falling issue, our 70 crowd moved to a nearby Hampton Inn. So not good. (2) MAJOR road construction. The street the house is on is completely closed to traffic. Typical construction noise from about 8-3. These issues are not the owner’s fault, but he should have made this information available to potential renters to consider when booking.
