We stayed for a full month & loved our stay. We were greeted with a basket of food/snacks and each room had towels and soaps laid out.
'Ye Old Barn, while having some quirks, served us very well for our stay. It was rustic and endearing. The kitchen is a great space, fully functional and fully stocked with cooking gear.
There is a great spot to bring in your ski gear and store to warm up for the next day. Saw some snow shoes and sleds (which we didn't use). We used the laundry a lot and appreciated the supplied detergent, laundry basket, etc.
Beds were comfortable. There are plenty of sheets, blankets and pillows. Plenty of hot water (just don't do laundry at same time). Couches were also comfy, plenty of spaces to sit.
Easy walk to Sylvester's or 'the Shoe' and about 12 minutes up to Jay Peak.
Internet and wireless worked flawlessly allowing me to work remotely including teleconferencing.
Piano is in tune if you are a player. We even used the pizza oven outside which was a lot of fun.
Quirks I mentioned... Learning the light switches, using spiral stairs, small shower upstairs and 2nd shower downstairs, no queen bed had access on both sides and access to the annex from the kitchen/downstairs is a bit of a hike with the stairs. It is a converted barn and we expected this type of thing, none of them a big deal at all.
Jill, our host, was super responsive and easy to communicate with and very willing to accommodate (even bought us some new non-stick frying pans).
