The check-in was absolutely the easiest I ’ve ever had. He even had it ready earlier because we arrived a little early, the house was well kept and clean, everything you could possibly need was there for your stay. I will stay there again.
This beautiful country chalet was everything we needed and more. Not only beautiful inside and out but the location was so peaceful as well. Close to everything we were looking for. Golf courses, restaurants, activities, etc all within just a few minutes drive. Absolutely would stay again. Owner is super helpful too. Thanks for a great stay!!
We were highly impressed with the location of the cabin. Upon our arrival in early January, we were greeted by a picturesque winter scene that exceeded our expectations. The cabin itself was exactly as depicted in the photos, having all the indoor/outdoor space was a huge plus and the communication with the owner was outstanding from the moment of booking through to our departure. We highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to return in the future.
We booked this to be able to see the total solar eclipse. The property was beautiful and we got a perfect view of the sun. It was a bucket list thing for me and it was just amazing. If I ever have a reason to go back up to Montgomery Vermont I would love to stay here again.
This property was everything we were looking for.
It’s a large, secluded property with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for a family or a great getaway for a couple.
We enjoyed the fire pit, but be sure to get fire pit supplies before you go.
Kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed grilling one evening too! Overall an excellent spot.
We had a great time during our stay.
The home was just as described online, clean and peaceful. When we reached out with a question it was responded to immediately.
Thankyou
First time visiting in the fall and had perfect weather to hike with our dogs at Bear Paw Pond and the trails by the Hazen Notch Welcome Center. The house was exactly as we remembered and we had a great time grilling and relaxing on the deck. We lost power one of the days, Kevin checked with the electric company and kept in touch until the power came back. Looking forward to being back in the winter!
We came for a couple days of skiing at Jay. Two families, eight total. We cooked a lot, ate all together at the table, made a fire etc. Plenty of hot water for showers after skiing. Kitchen pretty well stocked with equipment. There were snowshoes available which two of the children took out for a spin.
Road and driveway were tough, but manageable with the right vehicle.
Nice place. Kevin was a great host. A bit tough to find at first but fine once you get your bearings. We saw multiple deer running around during our stay. Will definitely return in future. TV remotes were painful to operate. Instructions would help. Couches were ok but not comfy. I would recommend to anyone looking for a mountain getaway within a short driving distance. Once game room is finished it will be a nice touch.
We had a great stay at this home. The layout was nice, the beds were comfy, the wood-burning stove was perfect for winter, we used the snowshoes to take some lovely walks in the woods.
I will say that the note about needing a 4-wheel drive vehicle did not really stand out to us when booking, and we arrived just before a major storm, dumping >24” of snow on us over two days. The roads were absolutely terrible and it was treacherous to drive, making the trip to JPK an hour long trip instead of the typical 20 minutes. It was noted in the listing, but people renting in the winter or early spring should know what they’re possibly getting into. The property managers reached out just before the storm to give us some options, which was appreciated.

NO HOT TUB
We only booked this house because the listing said it had a hot tub and was pet friendly. There was no hot tub (the first amenity that was listed) at the property. It only a jetted bathtub. We did not appreciate driving 18 hours to not be able to do what . We feel catfished. The owners have since corrected the listing, which is great, but it doesn’t make up for ruining our Christmas plans.
Otherwise, the house was fine—clean, decent enough rooms and beds, and private, so that was worthwhile.
Our family of four traveled to Jay, VT for a youth hockey tournament at the Jay Peak resort and due to the cost of a stay at the resort, we decided to search Vrbo. And we are extremely glad we did! Kevin has a beautiful, serene piece of property that was perfect for our stay. The home was spacious, extremely clean, and the area was quiet. We loved everything about it. The night we traveled, Jay received roughly 7-13 inches of snow. If you were ever to choose this stay during this kind of weather, a 4 wheel drive vehicle is a must for the area for sure, and the property somewhat. The property has a lengthy, somewhat uphill driveway that was made easier by our truck. With that being said though, we awoke the next morning at 7am to the driveway and parking area being plowed, and we were never concerned again. Jay Peak resort was roughly 10-15 minutes up the rode, but in snowy conditions roughly 18. Due to the weather we were unable to enjoy all the amenities of Kevin's property, but you can be sure we will be looking for some vacancy during the spring or fall to enjoy the deck with grill and fire pit. As a host, Kevin could not have been better. Extremely reliable and quick with his responses. I was able to get an answer from Kevin immediately with any question I had and he kept us up to date and extremely well informed as it pertained to the area and the conditions. We honestly could not have asked for a better host, property, and stay.
We always have a wonderful time staying here. The house and grounds are beautiful. Kevin is a great host and always helpful. We will definitely be back :)
Comfortable rustic cabin with modern amenities. Surrounded by nature, mountains, farms, and trails. Recommend suv or similar vehicle for getting around Vermont mountain gravel roads. Near Crofter’s Green and Jay Peak. Relaxing and enjoyable place to stay with family and friends.
We have vacationed here several times and always look forward to returning. Great location with plenty of hiking! Very private, clean property. Relaxing!
Second time staying and had a great time. Great to hike and explore with the dogs. House was wonderful and Kevin was responsive and helpful as always. Planning our third trip for the fall!
