Il NIDO della VECCHIONA Near the sea with a garden and a private Parking - Ideal for a family of 4 it can accomodate up to 6 people.

This beautiful apartment with Private GARDEN, Private PARKING and AIR CONDITIONING, is located in the most beautiful area of Monterosso, within the private park of the historic Villa La Vecchiona. It is partly included in the villa and partly has its own independent structure with beautiful view on the romantic garden already described by the poet Eugenio Montale. You can also see the statue of the ESTATE(Summer) described in "Ossi di Seppia", which earned him the Nobel Prize for literature.
The apartment has just been refurbished and has high quality furniture and appliances, hot/cold air conditioning in all rooms, safe, garden and private parking.

Description of the House: from the garden you enter the open space living room, with walls and glass ceiling, immersed in the green and the modern kitchen, equipped with everything you need to cook and eat comfortably at home. A corridor leads to the sleeping area, with a bedroom with two bunk beds (4 beds) and a bathroom with shower and another room with a double bed, walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom with bathtub. From the master bedroom you can access a area where the laundry is located, with washing machine and dryer. Behind the house there is a dedicated space/area organized for hanging out the washing.

IMPORTANT:
All the bedrooms and the sitting room have air conditioning both cold and hot.

A travel cot for Children (0 -2 Years old) is available upon request and there will be a one off fee of €25 to be paid upon arrival.

By the entrance of the garden there is the "Grottino delle Conchiglie" (the Shells Grotto) where the poet Montale and his sister when they were kids, they use to stick on the ceiling the shells found on the nearby beach and they are still visible. The garden is furnished with tables, chairs and deckchairs. There is an outdoor shower with hot and cold water and a nice marble sink.

If you arrive by train, the Monterosso train station is an easy 5 minute walk down the sea front.
If you come by car there is dedicated free carpark by the house available for one car only. Not suitable for Big Vans.

IMPORTANT:
Please make sure that the Check in and Check out times are respected.

CHECK IN:
-Check in is between 14.00 and 17.30
IMPORTANT: for arrivals after 18.00 there is Normally a late check in fee of €50 to cover the costs of the person who will have to wait you.

CHECK OUT:
-Check out is always within 10.00 in the morning of the departure day. (On request you can leave your luggage at the apartment until 12.30)

- Monterosso Council has recently introduced a "Guest Tax" of €2 x Person (older than 12 year old) for the first 3 days of stay. The "Guest Tax" will be collected cash by the host upon arrival.

HOUSE RULES
IL NIDO, borders with the apartments of the Vecchiona Villa and its garden.
For this reason it is very important to respect the neighbour's privacy:
- do not use the garden after 12 p.m. (midnight)
- Do not listen to loud music or make parties in the garden
- Do not hang washing in the garden but use the dedicated area instead
- Do not access the other laundry rooms which are in the common area with the NIDO laundry room
- Do not have a barbeque or fire in the garden (this is prohibited throughout the municipality of Monterosso for the danger of fire)

1) a cooking class session with a local Chef on a terrace with a breathtaking view of the cost to the Cinqueterre in a building only 300 yards far from the NIDO.

2) Excursions by private boat (6 people Max) to explore and visit the beautiful corners of the coast of Cinqueterre, Coves, beaches and even Grottos where you can also do snorkeling (diving underwater masks)

3) Wine tasting sessions where you can taste the local white wine (Cinqueterre) with a unique taste, influenced by the sea buckthorn, and also the famous Sciacchetrà Dessert wine

The beautiful historical center of Monterosso 10 minutes by foot on the seafront.
