Caravaggio self catering apartment is part of our 800 year old converted monastery situated 5 minutes drive from the Renaissance town of Montepulciano, renowned for its Vino Nobile wines.

The private entrance leads directly from the lawn garden and olive groves furnished with comfortable chairs and a table where morning breakfast or dinner al fresco in the evenings can be enjoyed. During the hot summers, there is a centennial pine tree to relax under the shade of the branches 5 meters from the entrance of Caravaggio.
On entering the open plan living room and kitchen you will find a rustic Tuscan wooden dining table and chairs for 4 people and a comfortable sofa set and coffee table.
The lounge has a Biodynamic fireplace that heats the whole area during the cooler out of season evenings.
Satellite TV and WIFI has been installed for your convenience.

The décor is simple Tuscan countryside style with high ceilings made from terracotta brick and wooden panels.
The two bedrooms are furnished with late eighteenth century furniture, orthopaedic mattresses and Egyptian cotton bed and bathroom linen.
One bedroom has a double bed and the second, two single beds that can be united to form a double. The views from the master bedroom overlooks the gardens, olive groves and forest whilst the second bedroom has wonderful views of the Valdichiana and lakes in the distance.
The bathroom consists of a toilet, shower, double sink and bidet.

The apartments have been restored in one of the most ancient monasteries in Montepulciano, Siena, and they are the ideal home for relaxing weekends or holidays, amongst the famous green rolling Tuscan hills, close to Pienza, Montalcino and Siena.

The apartments are all completely unique and different one from the other regarding dimension, style and set up. The accomodations have been designed with maximum attention to details with all the comforts required to spend an unforgettable memorable holiday amongst the green Tuscan hills.

All the apartments of Sant’ Antonio are self catering and are fully furnished with linen, towels etc and all kitchen utensils.
Linen is changed twice a week or every 3/4 days. For extra linen and towel changes, a supplementary charge will be applied.

There is no charge for car parking or the use of our private 3.4km running / walking track that winds through the olive grows, farm lands, rolling hills and oak forests with stunning breathtaking views behind each corner.....
All guests have free use of our Swimming pool (during the warmer season), small football field and BBQ's.

Firewood consumption is €5.00 per day if used. Our gardeners will keep wood deposits stocked outside of the accommodations.
Accommodation rates include free 24 hours internet connection / WIFI which is available around the pool, terraces, gardens and accommodations.

NB: Tourist Tax: A €1.00 (one euro) tax per person per day staying in any type of accommodation is not included in the accommodation rate. This tax will be charged separately at the end of your stay.
The rates are in Euros and do not include central heating. This is to be paid separately on a consumption basis.

The rates are in Euros inclusive of all taxes however exclusive of central heating, charged on separately in on a consumption basis during the winter months.

The reception / office is open Monday to Saturday to answer questions, arrange restaurants bookings, wine tours, recommend places to visit, hike and to make sure your vacation is memorable.

Check-in times and directions:

Guests are kindly asked to please check in at SANT' ANTONIO COUNTRY RESORT in Via della Montagna 8, MONTEPULCIANO between 3pm and 6pm directly at Sant' Antonio Country Resort in the country side where you will be welcomed, registered and we will take you in person to your accommodation in the historic town of Montepulciano a 4 to 5 minute drive away.

Once you arrive at the main gate in Via della Montagna 8, you will see SANT' ANTONIO engraved on a travertine block as well as a small ceramic sign. Please ring the buzzer and we will open for you.
Kindly inform us if you prefer to arrive earlier or will be delayed as the office at Sant'Antonio closes at 6pm.
