Mi pajera y yo fuimos por mi cumpleaños, me gusto el hotel. La comida , la variedad. Hasta coco y caña encontramos en el área de la picina. Las actividades son entretenidas. Lo único es el club que cierra a la 2am pero solo ponen música en inglés. Aunque nosotros sabemos el idioma pero también nos hubiese gustado escuchar música latina ya que al hotel van diversidades. Otra cosa que no me gusto mucho fue el área de playa. Solo tienen sillas, y la playa tiene algas. Pero tiene otro Lado de la playa SUPER TRANSPARENTE, HERMOSA pero es en DR. Cave fuera del hotel y se paga $7US de entrada aparte la sillas y sombrillas. El hotel es bonito, los tours son un poco elevado pero lo importante es pasarla bien. Encontramos que es un poco caro ya que todo lo cobran por personas, taxis, tours etc..

I was not at all impressed with the level of service. When we checked in noone welcomed us. A taxi driver in the lobby helped us with our bags. My bathroom left alot to be desired. The minibar was impressive on the bright side. I had no ironing board in my room. I request one 3 times only to receive a broken one the next morning. The bins in the room need to be washed since you do not use bin liners. The buffet needs to be cleaned constantly during service. The food in the sports bar was a total shock and the cleanliness of the area was disappointing. Check out was quite smooth. The boutique agents are lovely, the bell men too. I encountered one or two nice restaurant employees. The rest were quite brief.

I love that you really don’t have to leave the resort, if you came for peaceful vibes and a getaway. There is always transportation available from many booking agencies and taxi services. Bar staff and housekeepers was nice and friendly. The events that occurred during my stay was great. I enjoyed the food and music. The beach was indeed my favorite.

We booked this trip for our honeymoon, they never made us feel special. Didn’t tell us about any extra things to do or celebrated us in any way. Every staff member made us feel like an inconvenience and had no knowledge of any questions that we asked them. Wish we would’ve spent our honeymoon somewhere special.

We liked our room, it was comfortable and we loved our corner balcony. We also loved seeing the cats on the property. The abundance of Beach chairs and available shade was great!

When we first went to check in at three we were told our room was not ready. We were able to go and see the room. The room had two double beds and not the queen bed that I was promised. When we asked about this we were told that all their oceanfront rooms Have Two double beds, not king size beds. When I stated that I spoke with someone online from the hotel and they guaranteed me a king size bed. They requested that I pull up the conversation which I was able to do and I showed them best. We were given an upgrade. to guarantee that we had a king size bed. But this room what is the furthest room on the property from all of the entertainment and dining options. The beach we were not able to swim in the water at all because there was so much seagrass that was slimy very unpleasing to walk on. The credit was not fully explained when I booked the trip so when I went to go use it I was explained that only 100 could be used at the spa but only $20 off per service. We went to use the kayaks at about 9:30 AM, we were told that all the kayaks were in use. We were told there was only two one person kayaks and two double kayaks for the whole resort. Then I went back up to reception to find out about dining. It was told we needed to download their app in order to do this and to make reservations. It would need to be done at least 48 hours in advance. This was something that was told on the website or when we booked.the food was adequate. The water slides were always full

This is my second time staying with Riu my first time in 2019 in Mexico this time in Jamaica, as expected beautiful property! Staff was generally pleasant. Food was OK. Only drawback was a lot of walking. No elevators stayed in villa four which was quite far away from the main building two floors up stairs with my luggage all the way at the end of my floor very very long walk. If Booking this resort and you have limitations, my suggestion is to request one of the very first villas, possibly staying in the main building.

This was a decent property. The staff made sure to keep the common areas clean and kept up. Housekeeping could had been better as they forgot to replace towels in bathroom second day of being there. There could be better food options and quality as I got tired of eating the same thing at the buffet. Best place for the reservations was the steakhouse. There is no room service but a 24/7 sports bar that only had nachos, popcorn, hot dogs, and sandwiches. Once the nacho cheese is gone for the night, that is it. You gone be hungry overnight. The drinks at the bar is water is down before you get the chance to drink it. I was better off making my own drinks in the room. There could had been better activities during the day but I did enjoyed Karoakee night and the Riu Party.

Unorganized & very long wait to have our rooms ready for check in. Dining/restaurants weren’t enjoyable. Hard to find a good meal at night. Lunch was very good by the pool. Very limited activities/things to do. & not enough food options to even have something to snack on

The buffet should have offered more traditional Jamaican foods. The elevator seem to be about to break at any moment. It was very hot in the lobby and the ceiling fan were not on. It seems as if they were for decoration only. The sports bar should have televised more sports. It was the NBA playoffs and the games were not being shown on TV. The game on TV had no volume. The sports bar could be an awesome place if it was truly used as a sports bar.

We enjoyed our stay at the resort. The all inclusive included breakfast lunch and dinner. It also included drinks from the bar. No complaints there. The food was great with many options and the menu varied day by day. Drinks are great maybe a little on the weak side but tip your bartender and he’ll take care of you. Of course you don’t have to tip but we did. The staff here is very busy. The food shack by the pool was extremely busy and we waited there for one hour for food. The food was great but waiting in the 92 degree weather for it not so much. The pool was very clean but with the hot temps you really don’t cool off as much as you would by the beach. The beach was great. Clean and clear water. The locals there try to sell you weed at every opportunity which to be honest is a little disturbing and annoying. I don’t feel like being whistled at every time I go to the beach. Staff is courteous. Some members nicer than others. Housekeeping did a nice job but didn’t refill the body wash in the bathroom. Minor things. The mini bar is stacked with alcohol and staff members come by every 2 days to refill it. No complaints there. It is a party hotel so there are activities every day starting at 8pm. Karaoke was lots of fun so was the dancing entertainment and the reggae band. We went on excursions that you can book right at the hotel. It was $200 per person and included 3 activities plus lunch. It was a good deal. Overall 9/10 for me. Enjoy

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL AROUND THE PROPERTY!! DIRTY RESORT !! FOOD ALL IN THE HALLWAYS AND ON FLOOR A OUTSIDE RESORT. ALL RESTURANTS WHERE BOOKED..CHECK IN WAS 3.PM AND HAD TO ARGUE WITH THEM AFTER TO GET MY ROOM .. WE WAS WAITING AROUND SINCE 9 AM . RUDE STAFF IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. FOOD WAS ALL OLD WE ATE AT 1 CHINESE PLACE WHOLE WEEK DUE TO IT BEING FRESH ... ..STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESORT . .To whom it may concern : I booked the riu Montego Bay from May 10-14 . I arrived at about 9 am to resort and check in time was 3 pm . Upon arrival I must say staff was extremely rude in every way . We finally checked in and had to wait for room until 3 pm .. so we went to gym and tried to work out. Wow was that bad and disgusting !!!!! Very rusted out gym as seen in pictures most of the machines where broken .. 1 out of 2 treadmills broken … but the worst part was the machines and brown rust all over my hands after touching them … HORRIBLE.. after waiting several hours 3.pm came and no room was ready so we went on the line and had to argue with them for a room …since we been walking around with our luggage all morning and was hot and sweaty and hungry and tired .. finally about an hour later 4 pm they gave us a different room from our original room …. Past check in time …. Upon walking to our room as seen in photos food all over floor of resort in many places just thrown around with bugs and cats eating it …. As seen in photos it was in different spot

The buffet was amazing! Service were really polite and fast! Only thing is if you stay at Riu Monte’s Bay you’re not allowed to crossover Palace or Reggae but yet Reggae and Palace can crossover to Montego Bay makes no sense. Other than that beautiful room and view don’t hesitate on booking this trip!
