"This is the best place we have stayed on the 15 days of Europe travel. After choosing to stay in city centers we decided to stay in the country. This place is dead quiet, bed very comfortable, breakfast enjoyable, staff awesome, very clean and modern. It's a small place but everything was perfect and ease of use. We will be back to this little gem again soon. We would have stayed longer to explore the area with our bikes but we had to catch a flight home from Paris. Excellent bakery near by."

"Room heaters very weak, almost zero. I have very good tolerance with cold, but when it's -3°C outside and the heaters almost don't work, no matter what, you'll at least hope there's hot water in the night? But no! Even hot water is not available at night, it seems to be only in the mornings. I was shivering and freezing and slept with loads of layers after hours of trying to fall asleep in the cold. "We were in Saint-Etienne for the Rugby World Cup. This hotel is ideally located to the city Center. Tram rides to the stadium were very convenient. "

"Automatic check-in was straight forward. Got the code from the machine and went to the room. Room was spacious enough for our needs but 4 in the room would be tight. Supermarket and McDonalds were a 5 minute walk away but you will need a car or a taxi if you want to get anywhere else. Overall a pleasant stay."

"A bit of a mixed bag, the hosts were great and welcoming. I guess as it was just out of season the advertised restaurant / bar was not in operation. A bit of a remote location and a 20 minute drive to get food in the evening. Breakfast was great and delivered with a personal touch."

"We stop half way on the road from Canne to Blois and were delighted to have chosen Hotel du Golf. A most corteous and professional welcome to a spotless and comfortbale hotel which we had chose due to its restaurant service for dinner.....and we were happily surpised by the quality and variety of the menu served by a very friendly team in most pleasant surroundings. Well woth a visit."

"Its a really neat/cool place to stay for a night. The chateau is a little run down (as expected as its construction started in 1231), but that adds to its charm. The hotel room was beautiful and clean. The only issue was pink/orange mould on the bottom of the shower curtain. We also had the best meal on our Southern France trip at a nearby restaurant (Authentique restaurant)."
