"The people at reception were helpful. The hotel is right in the town center, a beautiful town square with lots of cafes and restaurants. The one thing that concerned me was no smoke alarms and the room did didn't lock and they only give you one key. Otherwise a pleasant stay. "

"Very minimal but good budget hotel. Staff is present only on limited hours. Late check-in was automated but efficient. Good position for traveling around the area. On check-out day, the code for opening the front door and room door stopped working without notice, way before check-out time."

I have very good tolerance with cold, but when it's -3°C outside and the heaters almost don't work, no matter what, you'll at least hope there's hot water in the night? But no! Even hot water is not available at night, it seems to be only in the mornings. I was shivering and freezing and slept with loads of layers after hours of trying to fall asleep in the cold. "I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and will be rebooking on my next trip to St Etienne. The staff on reception were extremally helpful and very welcoming which made for a very pleasing first Impression. Hotel is well situated and close to restaurants and bars. "
