"Room smelled strongly of old cooked food (Indian?). Windows were already left open to air the room out when we arrived. Luckily, we arrived early enough to run the fan for a couple of hours prior to going to bed. Room should not have been rented that day. Am continental buffet was good. Coffee was pretty good."

"I will never go back there. I have rented many times thru VRBO for longer vacations and never had a problem. I decided to go thru VRBO to rent a 2 night stay in Maine and paid top dollar. There was so many add on charges for a room at $149. dollars, that this budget motel ended up costing a little over $630. dollars for the 2 night stay."

"Location is close to what we wanted (botanical gardens and Boothbay Harbor shops). The plusses were free breakfast, nice trails connected to property, icecream across the street. The minuses were the pool/hot tub not open as expected,our room was not deep cleaned."

"Friendly and welcoming staff. Gorgeous grounds with lots of comfy places to relax and enjoy views. Lots of activities from firepit s'mores to rowboats and bowling no matter the weather. Breakfast is fine if only Newagen would invest in a commercial toaster to accommodate many guests."

"Our recent stay at the Newagen Seaside Inn was nothing short of wonderful! From the moment we arrived, my daughters, grandson, and I were greeted with genuine warmth and kindness. The staff made us feel immediately welcome, like we were guests in a friend’s home rather than just checking into a hotel. The atmosphere throughout the inn is cozy, peaceful, and inviting. Our accommodations were comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully arranged, giving us plenty of space to relax and spend time together. Surrounded by the ocean, the setting added an extra layer of calm and beauty to our stay. Highly recommended for families or anyone seeking a warm, restorative retreat in a beautiful setting! "

Beautiful place to stay!

"Beautiful place to stay! From the front it doesn’t look like much but once you get to the views in the back yard you won’t be disappointed! They couldn’t offer early check in which is fine but they let us leave a vehicle in the parking lot so we could go into town before check in! The pool was warm with a gorgeous view of the bay but it could use cleaning or a vacuum. The room was pretty and clean. I love that every room had 2 Adirondack chairs outside to enjoy the view with a cup of coffee in the morning! The fire pit had wood, paper, and kindling ready to go, we just needed to go to the front desk for a lighter. We didn’t have a dog but we saw a lot of guests with them and the property was very dog friendly! The restaurant was closed on the night of my stay so I can’t review. But the breakfast in the morning had a lot of options and was tasty. Will definitely coming back, hopefully for more than one night and with the whole family this time! There’s a whole lot to do on the property with kayaks and SUPs, the pool, and the fire pit "

"I thought the property was very quaint, loved the views from my deck overlooking the water. Every staff member greeted me every time I came across them. I feel they did a wonderful job getting the property up to par seeing how they had just opened for the season on 6/18/25!! Breakfast was delicious. "
