Sign by dining room listed its hours of operation for all 3 daily meals, but when we came by for dinner well within the listed time frame, there was literally nobody around anywhere. There was no indication that it might only be certain days or by reservation only, in fact it's listed as a full public restaurant on their website, with public menu visible, we'd even planned what we wanted to order. And it was a Friday night, so even if they were only open some days, surely they'd be open for dinner Fridays!
Staff was friendly but scattered. Room was small but comfortable. The beautiful antique styles of the main house are far less so in the carriage house so that was a little disappointing. The toilet in our bathroom was huge and ancient and was constantly running until I fixed it myself. Price was very reasonable.
Be aware - there's a train that runs nearby and the whistle is very noisy. This is not the fault of the owners of course, but something to be aware of for light sleepers.
Parking was good. Restaurant for breakfast was very nice, atmosphere was super-a bit slow for service, but food was simple and freshly made. Our room was very comfortable and clean.
Room was perfect, bed is so comfortable. Very homey feeling and very quiet. Had my own private bathroom across the hall which I didn't mind as I have no one staying on my floor. Second time staying here and this time in the main house which is stunning. Fast and easy check in which is nice. And staff very friendly. Highly recommed staying here.
We were in town to tour Mount Allison and wanted to stay overnight. The Marshlands Inn provided a comfortable place to stay and enjoy the East Coast hospitality. The place is large century property with beautiful gardens, lots and lots of knick-knacks but the amenities were everything you'd expect and more.
This a beautiful old inn with so much history. Owners and staff were so nice and the service wonderful. Though breakfast was not included with our stay it is available in their dining room.
If you like history and character, I would definitely recommend this Inn.
This is an older Inn. It is very unique. Set in a residential area. We enjoyed it's charm. The staff were excellent and the room was comfy. The small town is 2 blocks away and is great for shopping and eating.
Older Inn with a lot of history and character. Just a couple minute walk from downtown bars and restaurants. The inn may not have all the modern conveniences, but has plenty of history, character and antiques. Every room feels like a a museum display. Quite the experience.
Nice hotel, quite dated but was very clean. Great dinner in the restaurant. Room was small, a bit cramped, with minimal extras. No coffee maker in the room and dolls all over the place, kinda creepy. Cleaning staff was exceptional, very accommodating.
Great service very friendly & quiet area definitely would stay again
Thank you

Stayed at the Marshlands for nostalgia’s sake. Very old inn but such character!! The staff especially Gail was a treasure. Sooo helpful and helpful. We were in Sackville for our 50th Mt.Allison Alumni reunion and staying at the Marshlands was the icing on the cake.
The owner and staff were warm and friendly, the inn charming and the meals superlative, with seafood crepes stuffed with mussels, scallops and shrimps in a creamy sauce and a breakfast of freshly prepared fruit and homemade bread and homemade jam.
Staying here was a treat to experience the splendour of a historic luxury inn conveniently located in downtown area.Unique rooms decorated with lovely antiques throughout the home. Breakfast is extra but in a beautiful dining room.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Marshlands Inn. It has the feel of a quirky BnB, a very unique and historic experience! I enjoyed conversations with the host, walks in the lovely garden, and how close in walking distance the downtown of Sackville. I will visit again.

Furnishings are beautiful antiques and dinner served in the elegant dining room was excellent, served by a friendly, cheerful, polite waitress.
