"The location is great, surrounded by Bucegi mountains, great view of the peaks covered in snow and green forests from the panoramic view room's bed and terrace. The newly expanded indoor pool and outdoor terrace are a smart addition, with a good spa. The tennis courts and kids playing areas are well maintained. All staff was extremely nice and professional, good food, abundant breakfast. Fresh trout from their own yard basins. Will definitely try returning at Belmont."

Casa Chitic Hotels

8/10 Good

"Excellent, unique boutique hotel. Lots of stairs. but that doesn't bother us, especially as they insisted on carrying our luggage up and down for us. The staff were incredibly helpful. The breakfast restaurant was delightful - the space was really cool, good variety of good food and a very helpful server. Downsides throughout Europe, really - hard mattresses, no facecloths, and no top sheet - we lost a lot of sleep everywhere because we were too warm, but then too cold when we removed the comforter. As most places, when we asked for a sheet, they obliged by giving us a duvet cover. Overall, I'd really recommend The Casa Chitic."

Safrano Palace

8/10 Good

"Great location, right across front center square. Walking distance from Black Church. Many restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was really good. My only complain is that they don't clean the rooms. They provide clean towels but they don't clean rooms. I'm not sure if all hotels do that, but I was a little disappointed about that. Other than that it was a pleasant stay. We didn't have a lot of interaction with staff and sometimes it felt like nobody was working there, but it didn't bother us. We were a little lost with what to do and was hoping that staff will offer some assistance with that but we had to rely on google to find things to do on our own. When we checked out I was hoping to get asked if we had a pleasant stay or not, but the process to check out was just to leave key at the front desk so it felt more like a rental instead of hotel but again it was a learning experience."

Akasha Retreat

10/10 Excellent

"Rooms were fabulous clean, warm and beautiful. Staff couldn't do enough, free cake for friends birthday, so accommodating, friendly , never rude. The food was amazing , including the hot chocolate. The views from the hotel were spectacular and so peaceful. I would stay there again and again. There is a,hot tub and sauna which you can use till 10.30 at night , this is individually booked and was always available in slots. We didnt do yoga but met the teacher , she was lovely and others at the hotel said she was a really good teacher. Games cupboard available with lots if games and activities for all ages ie scrabble We saw other hotels in the area but know we had booked the best one , so so lucky. This would suit couples , friends and children IGNORE TERRIBLE REVIEW ITS NOT TRUE Thankyou so much SHELLY , KEV AND BERNADETTE"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Moieciu De Jos?

The best area to stay in Moieciu De Jos is the central village area, particularly around the main road, DN73.

This area is the heart of Moieciu De Jos, offering easy access to local amenities and a comfortable base for exploring the surrounding Piatra Craiului National Park. You'll find a good selection of guesthouses and small hotels here, often with mountain views. The main road connects you directly to other villages in the Moieciu commune, like Moieciu de Sus, and to the town of Bran.

Families often find staying in this central area ideal. Many guesthouses offer larger rooms or apartments, and the proximity to local shops and restaurants makes daily life convenient. The gentle slopes and open fields nearby provide space for children to play, and it's a good starting point for family-friendly walks.

For couples seeking a quiet retreat with beautiful scenery, consider guesthouses slightly off the main road but still within walking distance of the village centre.

When is the best time to go to Moieciu De Jos?

The best time to visit Moieciu De Jos depends on whether you're seeking winter sports or warm-weather exploration.

For those interested in winter activities like skiing or snowboarding, the peak season runs from December to March. The nearby ski resorts, such as Poiana Brașov, offer well-maintained slopes and facilities, making it an ideal period for snow enthusiasts. The landscape during these months is also particularly picturesque, covered in snow.

If you prefer hiking, exploring the countryside, and enjoying milder weather, the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) are excellent choices. During these times, the weather is pleasant for outdoor activities, the scenery is lush or vibrant with autumn colours, and the area is generally less crowded than in the height of summer.
