HIBISCUS HOUSE ON THE LEMON TRAIL

Indipendent holiday apartement, just for your family. For trekking fans there is a walking path : Lemon Path, The Convent of Saint Nicholas and after you reach Ravello town. The lemon grove , at the entrance offers a magic atmophere with a series of special fragrances.
The house is furnishes with every minimum detail. Twe double bed rooms, one bathroom, sitting roomn with kitchen area facilities, air conditioning, hair dryer and Sat TV, FREE WIFI, PARKING.
We are up on the hill in Minori, along lemon Path, to reach my location there are before 80 steps to walk up and after other 80 to arrive in Ibiscus House. Outside apartement there is a large terrace that overlooks the surronding nature, where you can admire a wonderfull panorama to the sea and uphill Ravello.Each corner of Divine Coast represents an idyllic place that needs to be discovered. We are only 5 km far from Amalfi, Ravello, 10 Km from Positano that it's very easy to reach by ferry boat from Minori center.

We had an absolute treasure of an experience at the Hibiscus House. It came exactly as advertised and was incredibly well-appointed, with everything we needed for a short-term stay. Although the house does require some stairs to get to, the view is absolutely breathtaking and makes the experience so worthwhile. Ornella and her family were so gracious, courteous and helpful in making the check-in and check-out process smooth and provided everything we needed during our stay - we certainly appreciated their kindness throughout our stay. We will absolutely seek the Hibiscus House next time we go through Minori.

The property was everything we were hoping for. A beautiful location with views of Minori and Ravello that were absolutely stunning. Although the location was somewhat of a challenge we so enjoyed the area that it was hardly noticed and the benefits were worthwhile. But what really made the visit so memorable was the incredible graciousness of the hosts. They were more like family than hosts and were so heartfelt in their help and local knowledge. We will certainly consider revisiting in the future and referring our friends to this wonderful villa.

This one is special. To reach the house you have to be willing to climb plenty of steps (even if you take the local minibus from the Basilica that takes you more than halfway up). But once you're up at the house the view over the lemon trees (it's a working lemon farm, a limoneto) that gives to the sea, to Minori, and to Ravello on the opposite mountainside is breathtaking. There are two apartments in the house, so it's suitable for two families or groups (willing to climb stairs). The host Ornella and her husband are very kind and quick to help with anything a guest might need.

It's a lovely appartement, just big enough for feeling good. The garden with chair's and more is perfekt for relaxing. Whe allway's reeched Ornella by telefon very good. When wi arrived they picked us up and carried our bagages up the hill. It's a few step up, so you can enjoy the silence up there and you're on your own. The kitchen is a bit old, but everything worked and we cooked wonderful tomatosauce. Because down in the village you got really wonderful tasting tomatos and and and. So there are many way's for walk, up and down of corse. It's nice and you have a great view.

The location absolutely beautiful, the view on the Minori bay area and on Ravello is magnificent! Ornella is super quick to answer and truly helpful! We had problems with our phones and she called for us to book tours around. Its clean and in the center of lemon trees and flowers. There is a good walk with 100 stairs to get there from the private parking spot (10€ per days) but Ornella’s son and partner helped us with luggage. There is also a good walk with 500 stairs to get down to Minori (10-15 min) we made it multiple times and we are still alive so you should be too. If you dont want to get down or up walking, there is a shuttle doing 3/4 every hour (1€) or a golfcart (cheaper than taxi). Minori was really nice with a good bakery and not filled with people like amalfi. Better stay in Minori than Maiori. There is a cool walk near the apartment, sentiero dei limoni! Really beautiful!

De woning heeft een schitterende ligging met een mooi zicht op Ravello en de Amalfikust. Prachtig gelegen tussen de citroenplantages. De gastvrouw Ornella is zeer behulpzaam en attent. Zeer goed contact met haar voor en gedurende het verblijf. Bagage wordt door de familie naar boven en beneden gedragen. Het enige nadeel is dat je 180 trappen op moet om de woning te bereiken. Dit vergt nogal wat afstemmen met o.a. boodschappen doen. Vanaf de onderzijde van de locatie is het makkelijk om met het buurtbusje naar Minori en terug te gaan voor €1,00 per rit op. Dus oudere mensen en mensen die moeilijk lopen. 180 steile trappen, maar de moeite waard.

Beautiful view of Minori, was a straight view of Revello. Place is small, but was a good fit for me and one other friend. There is a decent sized bedroom and a second bed in a loft. Host was great with communication and even picked us up from the bus stop to drive us to the house. There are a lot steps leading up the the house so I would definitely pack light. Overall, we had a very nice time in Minori!

Ornella and he husband are gracious and lovely hosts. They help bring your bags up and down the many stairs at the beginning and end of your trip. They even gave us a ride to the ferry dock upon leaving. I highly suggest buying a bottle of their lemon juice, it is sweetened and makes the best lemonade when combined with water. The lemon grove is beautiful and more than worth the many stairs to get there.

Ornella hat sich viel Mühe gegeben alles schön zu machen. Insgesamt war es ein schöner Urlaub, traumhafte Lage Die Ferienwohnung ist allerdings ein bißchen altmodisch, TV funktionierte nicht. zweites Doppelbett oben hatte keinen Rost.

We loved our stay. The hosts were very nice and easy to communicate with. The view from the house was breathtaking., although you need to be able bodied, as there is hundred of steps to get down to the center of town. Very quiet surrounding and therefore ideal place to relax. Would recommend.

My friend and I stayed at the ibiscus holiday house for 4 nights and had a fantastic experience! Ornella was very communicative over email and WhatsApp as soon as I booked the rental. She even had her husband meet us at the ferry in Minori to drive us up the mountain to their farm and carry our 2 very heavy luggages up the remaining stairs! The house was exactly as listed with a basic kitchenette, plenty hot water, working AC for €0.50 per use, one bedroom and a loft. The property was very clean and well cared for. The view just outside the front door was incredible and we enjoyed relaxing outside every night once it cooled down, though I would recommend bringing bug spray for the mosquitos. The other reviews are not exaggerating when they say there are many steps from the town of Minori to the house, but there is a bus that runs most of the way up the mountain to the farm entrance and there are many places to stop and rest if you choose to take the stairs. Walking down to the town took us less than 10 minutes and walking up took us just less than 30 minutes with several breaks. We made the most of it and called it “the original stairmaster.” That being said, my friend and I are both young and very healthy and I would not recommend staying here if you or your family are not able to walk around 100 stairs from the bus stop to the house. Ornella gave us great tips for public transportation and recommendations for restaurants and things to do around the area. She also offered us homemade limoncello and lemon juice for €5 each from the lemon farm where the house is located, simply delicious! Her husband and son also carried our bags and drove us to the ferry on the morning we checked out which was so appreciated. A hospitable host, beautiful property and overall one of my best experiences with VRBO thus far. If you’re looking to stay away from the crowds and instead take a short ferry to Salerno, Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento or Capri for day trips, this is the perfect place to book!

Sehr schön gelegen, ruhig und mit toller Aussicht. Man sollte allerdings kein Problem mit Treppen haben, der Weg zum Haus legt einige Höhenmeter zurück.

Bonne accueil de nos hôtes! Emplacement avec superbe vue, MAIS... Oh! Surprise, beaucoup d’extras n’avait pas été mentionné au moment de la réservation, ex: un supplément pour l’air conditionné (il faisait 35 degré), l’utilisation de la laveuse était en extra. Équipement très minimal dans la cuisine (pas de grille pain) et plusieurs autres irritants. Gros problème de moisissure! Endroit très humides donc nous avons dû quitter 2 jours avant la fin de notre réservation car nous ne pouvions pas dormir dans de telles conditions Aucune compensation offerte par les hôtes!

Die Unterkunft ist super sauber und die Vermieter sind hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich! Der Ort Minori ist in der Umgebung einer der schönsten und bietet alles was man benötigt; Strand, tolle Restaurants, authentische Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Metzger, Pastaria, Bäcker, Obstläden, etc.) Da die Unterkunft sehr hoch am Berg gelegen ist, muss man trotz Shuttle Bus immer einige Stufen gehen - das ist mit Kinderwagen oder alten Leuten eher schwierig zu bewerkstelligen. Sofern man fit ist, lohnen sich die Stufen denn die Aussicht ist einfach fantastisch! Alles in Allem eine tolle Sache :)

geweldige gastvrouw/gastheer. Zeer behulpzaam. Om bij het huisje te komen moest je vanaf de parkeerplek nog zo'n 200 trappen op, overigens werd de bagage voor je naar boven gedragen . Wij hebben daar niet met onze auto gereden, te druk en te duur parkeren. Wij hebben naar het dorp gelopen (bergaf, nog meer trappen) en zijn terug naar het huisje met een shuttle bus gegaan . Die rijdt op bepaalde tijden. Op de boerderij kun je heerlijke eigen producten kopen. De gastvrouw wil graag voor je koken en doet dit vortreffelijk, maar wel tevoren even naar de prijs informeren . Wij vonden het duur. Het huisje was erg vochtig. De directe omgeving prachtig.

Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist fantastisch und die Ruhe dort oben sehr erholsam. Der Weg über die Treppenstufen war ein gutes Training für andere herrliche Wanderungen an der Küste und ins Hinterland. Ornella hat uns bei unserer An- und Abreise sehr gut unterstützt und Salvatore hat uns und unser Gepäck von der Bushaltestelle in Minori abgeholt bzw. hingebracht. Es gab in der Unterkunft eine schön-große Teekanne, was sonst oft nicht der Fall ist. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen.

Der Anstieg über die vielen Stufen ist in der Tat nicht ohne, aber dafür wird man überaus belohnt. Wie in einer kleinen Einsiedelei am Berghang gelegen, sieht man von der Terrasse auf Minori, das Meer und das gegenüberliegende Ravello mit seinen fantastischen Villen. Zum Agroturismo mit Zitronenanbau gehört ein kleiner Campanile aus dem 11. Jh. Die Inhaber Salvatore und Ornella sind sehr gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Auf Wunsch kocht Ornella und ihre Tagliatelle al limone mit den sehr schmackhaften eigenen Zitronen ein Hit. Im Gegensatz zu anders lautenden Beurteilungen sind die Matratzen neuwertig und sehr bequem. Wenn man in dieser vom Tourismus überlaufenen Gegend einen besonderen Ort sucht, dann ist es dieser. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

We had a lovely time staying on the lemon farm. The terrace is a lovely place to spend your time with beautiful views over Minori and across the valley to Ravello. The apartment is set in a great location to walk down to town (Minori) with plenty of exercise climbing up the steps on the way back. Also a good base location to travel down the Amalfi Coast and a day trip to Pompeii. Ornella and her family were very accommodating and were always available to give advice and information when needed. We especially enjoyed trying the lemon juice and limencello that is produced on the farm. Overall we had a great, relaxing stay on the farm and we would happily recommend it to friends and family.

Die Ferienwohnung hat eine schöne Lage außerhalb des Ortes mit einem tollen weiten Blick. Die Stufen zu ihr hoch sind zwar schon eine Herausforderung, dafür ist man dann aber auch wirklich für sich und hat einen guten Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider ist die Wohnung jedoch bereits insgesamt etwas in die Jahre gekommen und die Betten ziemlich unbequem. Vor allem aber war es ziemlich klamm und feucht darin, sodass wir nachts im Mai gefroren haben. Ornella hat uns hier sofort mit mehreren Decken weitergeholfen - wirklich gemütlich fanden wir es aber leider nicht. Daher können mein Mann und ich die vielen sehr guten Bewertungen - aufgrund derer wir das Apartment gebucht hatten - nicht so ganz nachvollziehen.

Ornella and her family were wonderful hosts and absolutely insistent on assisting us with our luggage up the steps. Minori is a lovely village and the lemon farm has a commanding view over it. The 500 steps up from town can get a bit onerous but there is a bus that means you can miss out the first 300. We hired a car from Naples airport but the coastal road around the Amalfi coast provides some challenges so we opted for public transport for most of our stay. The garden in front of the apartment is truly lovely with wonderful views, shaded loungers and a hammock under the lemon trees. We enjoyed the local restaurants and self catering in the apartment. The apartment is well appointed but a little bit damp with an open mezzanine upper bedroom which our 9 year old daughter used. We had a nice holiday and would recommend Pompeii by bus and train from Solerno (very cheap public transport compared to the UK) and Capri by boat from Minori. The local tourist information office gave us some very detailed advice - the best we've received anywhere. Overall, not the most relaxing holiday we've ever had but the steps meant we exercised every day which can't be a bad thing.

Appartement met een schitterend uitzicht over het dal, het stadje Minori, het stadje Ravello aan de overkant en de Middellandse Zee! Het appartement heeft 4 slaapplaatsen maar is voor 4 volwassenen aan de krappe kant. Als het weer meezit - en dat is vaak! - buiten idyllisch ontbijten en relaxen temidden van de citroenbomen. Bij warm weer is er ook voldoende schaduw. Ornella en Salvatore zijn een prima gastvrouw en gastheer en zijn erg behulpzaam met het naar boven en naar beneden sjouwen van de bagage. Zoals gezegd, de ligging van het appartement is schitterend, maar wel is een goede lichamelijke conditie vereist voor het beklimmen van de zo’n 200 traptreden van de parkeerplaats naar het appartement. De gang naar en van het stadje vereist nog eens zo’n 600 treden maar voor de terugweg naar boven kun je vanuit Minori gebruik maken van een shuttle busje. Het appartement is een uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor bezoeken aan Napels, Pompei, de Vesuvius en de Amalfikust.
