The Cottage an urban retreat.
















  • It's a 1945 split house with three bedrooms. The attic bedroom is large carpeted heated/cooled it has a king bed with a love seat very comfortable, and serene. In the main floor you have two bedrooms with each has a queen bed.Next to the dining room you have a porch like room with a sleeper futon sofa unbelievably comfortable queen sized. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms 2 sofa beds , plenty of room and comfort for 8 + people. Beautiful living space, and dining space. Dining table sits up to ten people. Two kitchen, two bathrooms. Upstairs kitchen electric, and the downstairs kitchen no stove.Two gas fireplace-one in the living room one in the lower level. Second bathroom is in the lower . We have regular guest who have pet (DOG) allergy definitely no pets.

The house is exactly as it is described on the website. It is a beautiful house, with some amazing antique furniture, the gounds are gorgeous - full of beautiful flowers, plants, gardens, and chickens! A Wonderful Weekend Stay

We've stayed at Alex & Bree's home a number of times, and, as always, everything was clean, checking-in and out was easy, and the location was perfect. Our granddaughters enjoyed visiting there, and the chickens are always fun to watch. Alex is a great host and we'll certainly return in the future.

Great for a family stay!

We enjoyed our stay! It had everything we needed for a long weekend, and would love to see all the plants in full bloom in the summer. Location was close to downtown, the airport and there are several good restaurants nearby.

A Wonderful Stay, Again

We've stayed here many times before, and again, it was a wonderful stay. Alex is a great owner/neighbor, his chickens in the backyard are a great entertainment for our granddaughters, and the recent upgrades were wonderful as well. We'll definitely be back again!

Great stay!

Communication with the host was clear and detailed and check in was easy via the keypad lock, which is super helpful. The place is super cute, just note that one (large) bedroom is in an upstairs attic space and one bathroom is in the basement. Parking was easy and the chickens were surprisingly personable. :)

Such a unique and wonderful spot

We spent a long weekend at Alex's beautiful cottage, and got to tour the grounds of the gorgeous garden and community with our gracious host, which was a treat. We were able to host a group of friends here for a fantastic brunch, which the place couldn't have been more perfect for -- everyone was charmed by the adorable chickens and resplendent environment. The place was very comfortable, spacious, scenic and well -appointed, and Alex made us feel perfectly at home. Can't wait to stay here again on future swings through Minneapolis!

What a great place to stay

We absolutely loved this urban cottage! There was plenty of room for our family of 4. I was inspired by the various plants & landscaping throughout the property. We enjoyed spending our mornings with a cup of coffee and watching the chickens! We had everything we needed for cooking and enjoying the week together. Alex took time to stop by and talk to us and it was great getting to know him better. I highly recommend this delightful urban retreat if you're spending time in Minneapolis!

Fabulous place and host!

This house was perfect for our family, including three young children. Host Alex was incredibly kind and helpful, bringing us a new coffee maker at 545 AM when ours didn't work, and letting our kids give the chickens some treats. House is full of lovely art and garden is beautiful.

Cute cottage!

The property was perfect for the 6 of us. We had 4 adults a 2 year old and 7 year old. Very comfortable and relaxing. Host was great and extremely responsive. Highly recommend!! And can’t forget about the chickens! Thanks for making our vacation fun!!
