You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Park Place Cottage

Upon entering the gate you follow the brick path to the BBQ Patio & enter the house through the front porch. The kitchen is great for immediate access to unload your groceries & full bathroom if you need to refresh after your long journey. The dining room & Great Room with wood burning fireplace gives a cozy feeling that you will have during your entire stay. Inside the French doors you will find a bedroom with Double bed & designated office space. Off the dining room you will find the Sun Room with access to the huge deck. The backyard has a bonfire pit stocked with wood for your enjoyment. We ask that you follow the laws when burning restrictions are in effect.
The upper cottage level has a large full bathroom with access to the walk-in closet and master bedroom with a Queen bed. The second bedroom has a Queen bed with another designated office space. The 3rd bedroom has 3 Twin beds for the children... or singles that don't want to share. The loft area has a Futon with linens provided for up to 2 people. The sliding doors go out onto the Viewing Balcony. Bistro tables & chairs provide another vignette where you can sit and have coffee while taking in the beautiful private view.

Children are welcome here... 2 high chairs, Pack-n-Play, Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper Bassinette & Baby Gate available for your use on premises. The BBQ Patio area is fully fenced so children stay safe from the driveway or street.

Guests have complete & private access to 1700 sq. ft. on the main and upper levels of the cottage. The basement area is not currently available for your use.

Other things to note: A game table, board games, puzzles, coloring books, lap blankets, etc., are available for your use.

PARK PLACE COTTAGE WELCOME BOOK will have house rules, as well as maps and a seasonal section for golf courses, wineries, restaurants, and other recreational options. Enjoy your stay!

The location was perfect for showing our Iowa friends this part of MN. We went to White Bear, Como Park, Stillwater, Marine on the St. Croix, Taylor's Falls, and all the fun little towns in between. The house suited our needs and was well stocked. The only minor complaint is the downstairs bathroon shower/tub needs updating.

House had plenty of space. We loved the brick patio out back. Close to everything in White Bear Lake area. A couple of things (not to be negative but maybe just to note): downstairs bathroom is not very accessible for elderly. Had a really hard time helping our 82 year old mother get to the bathroom. Might be helpful to let people know about the up and over step configuration.

Family stay

We rented this property to visit family and the original date we booked my kids got really sick and the property owner was very kind and let us stay different dates as to not lose any money. The home is beautiful and very clean. Large bedrooms and plenty of space.

Great location!

Spacious home in a great location within walking distance of farmer’s market and public beach. Enjoyed the fire pit and ample patios/balconies. Kitchen had everything we needed for a comfortable stay over the weekend.

The home was well stocked. Plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and bathroom spray and coffee. It was great to get in late and not feel you had to find a store to get these necessary products. The home was clean, and very comfortable. We had a fire at the fire ring and there was plenty of wood ( wished there was an axe) . We had 6 adults and one 9 year old. Everyone was very comfortable. We asked to stay an extra night and we were able to stay 1 extra night,

Great place for a weekend stay

Park Place was great place for a weekend Sisters weekend. Ample space for conversation indoors and outside. Tim is a good host and would rent from him again. Only issue with the property is that parking is challenging. This was stated upfront in property details so it’s not a complaint. But two cars would be ideal instead of the three that were in our group.

Great house. Loved the back porch and deck, great place to gather with houseguests. Kitchen was well equipped. Dining room and living area quite large. Great A/C and hot water. Highly recommend.

The Bride Loved It

We booked this for a small bachelorette "party" and the bride absolutely loved it! It's such a cute and charming space. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough to take advantage of the beautiful fire pit area and more deck time. Check in was simple. Location is kinda tricky but if you follow his directions it's easy to find. Parking is limited though! We had a great time!

Excellent place to host family get-togethers

Tim's Park Place Cottage is a charming, roomy place to stay. The outside areas are fantastic and we used them all, including both decks (which are like dwelling in a forest canopy), the fire pit, the patio and grill. Kris says there were lots of conveniently placed hooks for hanging things, and recommends non-slip footwear for ascending and descending the steep and narrow staircase. The location was perfect for us and the neighborhood is just beautiful. We recommend the walk down to Mahtomedi Beach. We didn't have occasion to ask Tim for any assistance because our stay was worry-free, but there's no doubt he would have been on the spot if we'd needed him. Thanks for helping make our vacation a superb one, Tim!

A great place for my family to stay!!!

I got this VRBO for my out of town family (4 adults) to stay in for our daughter’s wedding and we couldn’t be happier!! The check in was easy, the place is great! There was plenty of space to get ready for the wedding (the owner kindly gave us early check-in), they all slept well and said they “felt like they were home”. It was comfortable and clean, they were able to really relax. It was only blocks from my home so convenient for me to transport, etc. They appreciated the bag of ice in the freezer, the makeup face cleansers in the bathroom. My brother in law liked the layout of the house snd really wanted to start a campfire in the fire pit but sadly it rained. Personally, I’m very pleased with this place and look forward to having family come back and stay there for future get togethers. It is a gem!

Overall this is a beautiful home. Several challenges witg young children that were difficult to ascertain from description. Fenced in part of yard quite small. Backyard is not as large as thought from pics and not amenable for children (even 6 and 8). Steep stairs off deck without safety gate at top made the deck unusable. First floor bathroom requires going up and then down 3 steps - not ideal for toddlers. Stairs to upstairs narrow with fairly high pitch. Also no safety latches on cabinets with cleaning supplies. I did appreciate the children's dishes and the clean and solid high chair as well as the pack n play That being said Tim was quite responsive when I emailed questions. I WOULD rent thus property again with older children.

Great Home, Great Location

We were in MN for a week, and stayed at this property the whole time. Check in was easy, the property was wonderfully eclectic, and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend this property for those looking for a nice quiet, upscale place to stay. It is close to the coffee shops, stores and pubs. Highly recommended!

Rented for a girls weekend to attend Harvestfest in Stillwater!! Place was very cozy, clean and very close to downtown Mahtomedi so we had live music at the Dugout Bar!! Great weather so we enjoyed the outdoor deck as well. Wouldn’t hesitate to rent this house again!
