Hideaway Heaven is a quiet and peaceful waterfront home. Enjoy lake living in this updated 3-bedroom, 2-bath home which sleeps eight comfortably. Waterfront on a quiet cove about mid-lake, great for summer fun with friends and family or a quiet weekend in the low season. Convenient to Food Lion grocery and restaurants. Dock will accommodate boats up to 21 feet in length and community boat launch is available for use. Master bedroom has a king bed, second bedroom has a queen bed, and third bedroom has a queen bed and a twin over double bunk. Linens and towels provided. Master bath has a soaking tub and full shower; second bath has tub/shower combination. Home has all the amenities - fully-equipped kitchen, wifi, 3 televisions (Direct TV), a Blue Ray DVD player, full size washer and dryer and 5-person hot tub! Easy walk to water on either beautiful stone steps or paved path. Stone steps into water or ladder off dock. Rental comes with 4 kayaks (one a double). Enjoy the firepit while making s'mores and family memories! Dog friendly!.

Our home is always spotless, but with the new virus concerns we are taking extra care. Our cleaner has been with us for years, does a great job and follows CDC cleanliness guidelines. We use only EPA approved products that kill germs and viruses. We disinfect every door knob, faucet, countertop and light switch. We have two sets of sheets and towels which are sanitized after each tenant and are never used for back to back renters. There are extra cleaning supplies in the home in case anyone wants the piece of mind of doing a little extra cleaning on their own. We do everything we can to make our home clean and safe.

A perfect house for a long fall weekend. The deck, and windows in the living room and master bedroom have such great views of the woods. There are so many comfy chairs on the deck to sit and enjoy the views.

Loved the kitchen. I cook a lot and that does not change while on vacation so having a well equipped big kitchen is a plus. Getting to the lake was a little bit of a challenge with the steep stone steps and over growth of trees/bushes but overall great. Nice fire pit area. Check-in was great. My family had a wonderful time.

Very nice house in wooded area. Gated deck is perfect outside space to keep small or medium sized dog. There’s limited view of the Lake unless you walk down the short path to the dock. Owners were very friendly and helpful with minor TV/internet issues. We stayed at the end of the season and although the house was relatively clean it could use a really good deep cleaning. We would book again next year for sure!

The house was beautiful and very clean. We loved it. It was close to everything. Yet seemed very remote. We love the property, although it's hard to swim in the cove. As there's no fresh water, I would definitely go there again

Perfect getaway

No one wanted to leave. So perfect. Kayaks were really fun for the kids and the stream for the smaller kids to play in. Back porch was the place to be!

Ladyhood Gathering

Had a long weekend getaway with a group of girlfriends from across the country after we all attended a conference in DC. It was easy to get to, plenty of room inside as well as outside. The hot tub was quite nice and we all enjoyed a few hours paddling in the kayaks around the lake. Definitely would go back!

One of the better house rentals we have stayed at.

A very nice and clean, spacious house and property. Unfortunately our recent May 2nd - 5th stay was plagued with poor, spotty rainy weather except for the arrival night so we didn't get to utilize all of the of outdoor features associated with the property. Having firewood available for the firepit was a nice convenience. We definitely would consider staying there again. Please note to be careful walking on the outside stone pathways, some become a little slippery when wet.

Great time

We had a great time at the lake! House is small but clean, well kept, well stocked and on a quiet street. (It’s a great street for walking dogs- grass on both street sides that’s not all overgrown weeds). Communication with the owner was a breeze- super responsive! It’s also nice when towels and linens are provided! Best of all it’s affordable for one family, which is hard to find at the lake nowadays. The cove is very narrow, so kind of difficult to navigate a boat in and out. And the water in the cove isn’t great for swimming around- it’s very shallow and the bottom is yucky/slimy/smelly leaves/seaweed that your feet sink into. So we just swam a bit further out each time to float and watch the boat traffic. Also the temp gauge on the hot tub doesn’t seem right so it was hard to get a good temp there. All in all a great trip! Ate out at Callie Opie’s and Asian Cafe, played putt putt and got icecream at Tim’s marina, rented jet skis and a boat.

Wonderful Anniversary Weekend Getaway!

My husband and I had a quick weekend getaway to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We enjoyed our stay and everything that the property had to offer, that we ended up staying in and not venturing out to explore very much. The house had everything that we could have possibly needed. We would highly recommend this property to anyone. Some notes that I think will assist with anyone and their future stay. If you decide to bring your own kayaks, be prepared. The paved path down the hill to the dock is quite steep and there is a chain blocking it so you cannot use your vehicle. Thankfully we had our cart with us to assist in the hauling down to the water and back up to our truck at the end of our trip. We have AT&T cell phone service out of WV and our service was definitely sketchy, but thankfully the house had internet so we could stay in contact with our children. Food Lion is a short drive away and we highly recommend Chef Lee in the same plaza. There are plenty of towels, but only 2 "beach towels". The walk back up to the house was chilly so you may want to bring along larger towels or a robe. We most definitely will keep this place on our list of places we would like to return to. Thank you for being wonderful hosts and offering your wonderful home up for guests.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was peaceful sitting out on the deck and dock by the water - just what we needed coming from the DC area. We made great use of the kayaks that were available. Well equipped kitchen made it easy to cook our meals too. Great space and location - hopefully will make it back again sometime!

Quiet and private getaway with easy water access

For a 3 bedroom home, the space was very comfortable. The 5 and 7 year old grandchildren had enough space to spread out. The electronics worked fine. Path lighting down to the boat dock was very helpful, especially in the evenings. Overall, a very relaxing time.
